We hear this question very often “My dog is current on heartworm prevention, do I still really need to test?”
Yes. It is our hospital policy to require an annual heartworm test (in order to continue receiving prevention) and here are 4 reasons to help explain why.

Due to the anticipated winter weather, we will be CLOSED Wednesday, January 22nd. We will keep normal business hours tomorrow, unless there are any changes and we see the winter weather start earlier than predicted. As of now, we do plan to be back in the office Thursday, January 23rd at 8am. Any changes to this schedule will be updated here on Facebook or you can call the office at 843-225-9663.

💕Phil update🐱💕 If you have stopped by the office recently, you might have already heard, our feisty mascot and Employee of The Month Philip has been adopted 🥰 While he very much loved working hard at the office(🙄🤣) and truly enjoyed seeing (sometimes harassing) everyone, an opportunity with a former employee came along for him to become the housecat he deserves to be. He still remains in the Sweetgrass Family. 🩵💚💙

And as you can see he is living large and loving
his new domesticated life 🥰

Sounds familiar! 😸 One tip that could help make going to the vet easier: leave their carrier out all the time. Put a comfy blanket inside. And even use treats or a laser pointer to practice going in and out. Also, make sure the carrier is the right size and they have plenty of room to move and turn around in.
