At Sumner Veterinary Hospital we’re passionate about working with all dogs. Whether they come from shelters, rescues, or responsible breeders. We absolutely love what we do. 🐶❤️

While we wholeheartedly support shelter adoptions, we also believe in working with ethical breeders who prioritize health, temperament, and preserving breed standards. Our goal is to ensure dogs become wonderful companions and valued members of our community.

By collaborating with breeders who share our values, we help create happy, well adjusted dogs that thrive in loving homes. It’s all about responsible pet ownership and doing what’s best for the animals we love! ❤️

Thanks Coplar Creek Standard Poodles for sharing these sweet pups with us!

Did you know?

Around 80% of orange cats are male due to the genetics behind their coat color. The orange hue comes from the X chromosome, and since males only need one copy to be orange (while females need two), it’s more common for orange cats to be boys!

Do you have a fiery orange feline in your life?

✨Happy National Groomers Month ✨

Meet Rob, A talented groomer with nearly a decade of experience! His favorite part of the job is building relationships with the pets he grooms, and helping the nervous dogs feel more comfortable! When it comes to grooming, Rob has a soft spot for Golden Retrievers and other drop coat breeds. He loves creating a natural look that makes people say “what a good looking dog!” Instead of just noticing the haircut. Robs #1 piece of advice? Always brush your dog before and after a bath! Washing a matted dog will only make things worse, and if you want to keep their hair long, regular grooming appointments are a must!

Thank you, Rob, for your hard work and dedication to every pet in your care! Help us celebrate Rob by dropping a ❤️ in the comments!

✨Happy National Groomers Month✨

Meet Brandy, who has been a professional groomer for over 10 years, and her favorite part of the job is watching pets happily prance in for their spa day and strut out looking and feeling their best!

When it comes to grooming, she doesn’t play favorites-every breed amazes her. What she loves most about grooming pets is making them comfortable, happy, and healthy while also helping owners understand the importance of regular grooming.

Brandy’s top grooming advice: Don’t wait too long between grooms! Regular baths and trims are essential in keeping your pet’s coat and skin healthy!

Thank you, Brandy, for your hard work and dedication to every pet in your care!
