Sumter SPCA Bark Park The Sumter SPCA Bark Park is a fenced outdoor area where people and their dogs can play together. Each additional dog is $20.

Membership for the Bark Park is $100 for a year and $75 for six months. Your dog must be fully vaccinated (Rabies, DHLPP and Bordetella) and vaccinations must be current and up-to-date.

Attention bark park members! Due to the possibly of bad weather, the bark park will be CLOSED Friday January 10th. We will keep you updated about the possibility of closing Saturday January 11th also. The grass will be very slick potentially causing our customers to fall, we don’t want that. Thank you for understanding. Stay warm!! 🙂

The cold weather has arrived! Make sure you keep that fur-baby warm on these cold days and nights ahead. My Buddy Pup Shop has all you need! Coats, sweaters, scarfs, even booties to keep your baby warm, and at ONLY $5 why not grab a few of each! We are located right beside the SPCA on Guignard Dr or feel free to call us at 803-774-1055 for info or questions about training, The Bark Park, or PLAYCARE.

TODAY'S THE DAY!!!! OPEN TO THE PUBLIC!!!! Come on over and bring the kids and your leashed furry friend and enjoy all the festivities today from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm! We will have Vendors and Trunk or Treats and a games for both the kiddos and doggos! Food trucks, games and vendors will take place from 2:00 pm - 7:00 pm and our Trunk or treats and Doggy costume Contest will be between 4:00 pm and 7:00 pm. We would love have a great turnout so come on over! (All games are free to play, as well as the Trunk or Treats! There is a $5 entry fee to enter your doggo in the costume contest. Any fees or donations directly support our shelter pets! Festivities take place at the Bark Park and Elaine Korn Center (My Buddy Pup Shop) next to the SPCA at 1100 S. Guignard Drive.

Just a reminder to the Sumter community that we are still continuing to collect needed items at the Sumter SPCA. Our trailer is located at the Elaine D. Korn Memorial Center in the Bark Park parking lot.
at 1100 S. Guignard Drive. They are in need of a variety of items from pet supplies and pet food to water, non-perishable foods, hygiene products, etc. We plan to bring the trailer to hard hit areas of North Carolina later in the week. Thank you again for all of your assistance in helping us support their recovery efforts!

HURRICANE HELENE ASSISTANCE COLLECTION POINT:
Just a reminder that the Sumter SPCA will be a collection point for any animal-related items that are desperately needed in North Carolina and the surrounding states that are currently dealing with the tragic aftermath of Hurricane Helene. People with pets are in urgent need of food, water or any animal related items that can assist in their recovery efforts. You can drop your items off at the SPCA Elaine D. Korn Center (1140 S. Guignard Drive) next to the Bark Park (which is next door to the SPCA) during our open hours from 8:00 AM - 5:30 PM or Doggie Dos at 50 Ootie Ct. Thanks to Kim West Cooper of Doggie Dos who provided a trailer ready for drop-offs. We will be collecting beginning tomorrow, Thursday, Oct. 3 through Saturday, October 5. Your donations will then be transported to the affected destinations. If you need a tax receipt, please stop by the main office at the SPCA with a list of the items you donated and we will be happy to assist you in getting one. We appreciate your support and we know the victims of this horrific hurricane do also! Our thoughts and prayers are with all those affected - humans, pets and wildlife!
