Today is the anniversary of the 2018 passing of my most precious cocker spaniel, LiLee. She’s from my 40 year bloodline of female cockers. My LiLee passed at 8:55am August 30th in my home. I remember it vividly. It broke my heart 💔. She was 14 3/4 years old. My LiLee was my steadfast companion all through the years. It’s not right to have “favorites” but she without a doubt was mine! She was so sweet natured and loving. Her favourite things were car rides with me, snuggling up on my lap for nap time, and an occasional steak bone. Oh, and she loved her stuffed toys. She would always get a new toy every Christmas. I’d wrap it and put it under the tree. After the children were finished with their presents, I’d tell her to go get her toy! She’d run under the tree and get the package and tear it open, making a joyful mess! Oh how I regret not videoing it! She absolutely loved opening her gifts!
There’s many more happy memories of my LiLee tucked away to sustain me until we finally met again at the Rainbow Bridge. 🌈🐶♥️

Opossum can withstand up to 80 Rattlesnake or Coral bites and will eat ticks as if they were French fries. Thanks to them, there is an antidote for poisonous snake bites.

For those who give up their dogs when they have a baby, I'm posting this photo of a family whose 15-year-old Jack Russel Terrier is treated as one of the children (because he was their first child) and who is the protector of his two human brothers and sisters.
Never use the excuse that you had to let your dog go because you have a baby in the family and the doctor advised you blah blah blah and other lame excuses.
Never abandon your pets. They are family 😍

As a rehabber, I deal with animals passing away a lot. I’m usually pretty tough about it, I know it’s part of the job and some are just too far gone to save. I somehow keep working through it, still trying my best for the other animals in my care, but today broke me.

Two babies came in today that have been without their mother between 8 and 10 days. They were cold, dehydrated, rail thin, covered in fleas and ticks, and were so so pale and weak.

I started emergency treatment right away and one died in my arms while his brother frantically screamed and cried for him.

As I walked away with his siblings body to bury him, all I can hear are his devasted screams. I broke down. I can’t stop crying.

The cry from this little one has so much pain, loss, and anger in it… how anyone can think animals can’t feel emotions is beyond my comprehension. He’s still crying out now as I type this. I’m going to do everything I can for this baby. The world was beyond cruel to this poor creature. In his 5 weeks of life his mother and then his only friend were taken from him.

I’m writing this post just to say…. Please be kind to wildlife. 💔 Life for them is already so difficult, and often times humans just make it worse. Be kind to them.

Friends.. This information is very important to know.!!! When you see a dirty cat.. This is important information to know, why cats look dirty.

🔺 Cats can resist hunger for up to a week on average, but no more than 2-3 days in case of thirst.

🔺 Cats are usually very clean, they are groomed several times a day, if you see a cat that is not clean, it is DEHYDRATED and has been so for many days.

Their saliva glands are not functioning properly, because they require moisture.!!!.

🔺 Please, if you see a stray kitten, apparently dirty, do not run, or look at it with disgust, it has already had difficult days.. In which I probably haven't eaten or drank any water for a long time!!!. If you don't like cats, express kindness out of compassion.!!

🔺 For humanity, empathy, and love for your neighbor, bring food and above all a container with WATER. It's not easy being thirsty and hungry and not being able to say a word! 💔🥺

This is a honey bee. The pollen on her legs is from dandelions. Her tongue is sticking out due to what killed her that was on the dandelions.
It’s spring, dandelions are the bees first food. This bee is dead from w**d killer spread on what we see as w**ds, but what nature sees as food. Please don’t spray for w**ds until you see the blackberries blooming.
In this area, w**ds, flowers and fruit trees are bees only source of food until middle of June. There are FAR more w**ds than flowers or fruit trees, so it's their only food source. No bees, no food crops for us and we all starve?!
