Training K9 Lían to walk on a leash has been quite the journey, especially since he was raised indoors and had never experienced the restraint of a leash before. Initially, Lían's reactions were quite dramatic; he'd whine, pull, and even throw himself on the ground in protest. However, with patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, we were able to transform his dramatic episodes into confident strides. We started by letting him wear the leash inside the house to get used to the sensation without the pressure of walking. Gradually, we introduced short, positive outdoor sessions, rewarding him with treats and praise for walking calmly. Over time, Lían began to associate the leash with positive experiences, and now he walks much better, exploring the world around him with curiosity and confidence. His progress is a testament to the power of perseverance and gentle training techniques.
