Hunter/Jumper Stable The stable is located on 57 acres of farm land that is 8 miles from the heart of downtown Madison, Wisconsin.

PSH has 2 indoor riding arenas, both pasture and box stall board, 9 oak fence paddocks, 2 pastures with shelters, and all-weather outdoor riding ring under lights.

Wonderful time at Ledges "B" horse show. This show was the perfect show for novice horses &/or novice riders. Like all shows, the goal is to return home with improved riders & horses. Mission accomplished! 8/25/24.

Prairie Sport Horses enjoyed a wonderful and productive couple weeks at the Great Lakes Equestrian Festival. The competition, show personnel and the show rings are first rate. But the stabling is mediocre at best. Our horses deserve safer, quality stabling.

The Advocate, by Abdullah out of Phoenix, is 25 years old today. The Advocate won his first class for Prairie Sport Horses in 2006 and continued to compete winning more than 20 champion or reserve ribbons as well as several HOTY Zone 6 awards until he was retired from showing at the end of the 2017 show season. He loves to work so continued to be ridden at home until he was fully retired this past fall. He is now living his best life in our pasture with his equine buddies.

HITS SUMMERTIME II. Another wonderful show. Rachel & Taliesin and Nicole & Dean Doesn't Know took time from their busy schedules to show with PSH. Both teams were successful, returned home with improved riding skills and were excellent company. In sum, the Fields' horses & Jaramillo horses continue to improve while happy & sound.

So proud of our horses and riders who competed at HITS Spring Spectacular Horse Shows! All are not only improving by leaps and bounds but having fun in the process. The final week was topped off by Molly winning the 2’6” Hunter Derby and Dana Field’s Surreal finishing his Young Hunter division with all five first place ribbons.

We are extremely proud of our young hunters! Gaellant Rue, owned by Prairie Sport Horses, was Young Hunter 5 and under HOTY (Horse of the Year) Champion for Zone 6. Surreal, owned by Dana Fields, was Young Hunter 5 and under HOTY Champion Zone 6 and 3rd in the country!!

Welcome to the world little girl, a filly born April 7, 2024. Lordanos X Woodlawn’s Paris (Judgement/Voltaire). Woodlawn’s Paris is a Ster mare. In the following weeks we will post our new weanling, our two-year-olds, our three-year-old and our other young horses. We are also expecting two more foals in the near future. We are very excited about our youngsters.

Surreal showing this morning in the Young Hunters 6&Under at Kentucky Spring Classic horse show.

Ursella, our little she bear, at less than 2 weeks old is growing like a weed and joyfully rambunctious!!

Gaellant Rue, 3 year-old warmblood, at his second show. This was the first time he was asked for flying lead changes on course. He has been champion at both of his shows. Talented, beautiful and gentle!

Copernicus K wins both Adult Amateur over fences classes and topped the day by taking the Classic at Equifest week III.

Kate and Allawishus jump up in the 3’3” A/O division riding to a third place in the Classic.

Congratulations to Lindsey and Monroe on a job well done at their first show! Ultigro and Silas completed a great weekend with scores of 88 and 85 in the classic. Unfortunately, technology failed and only recorded 3/4 of round one......frustrating.

Copernicus K wins at Balmoral Park.

Prairie Sport Horses just wrapped up a fun and successful week at the American Royal Horse Show in Kansas City! Highlights included Kate Mittauer Withers and JJ earning a second in the Ariat Adult Medal and an 80 in the second round of the Adult Amateur Classic! Silas Jaramillo and Ultigro earned a second in the Handy of the Amateur Owners and won the Under Saddle!

Ultigro and Silas continue successfully at Spring Spectacular III HITS Chicago with this second place 3'6" Performance Hunter round.

Spring Spectacular II at the new Balmoral Park show facility has been great fun. There are so many fabulous horses putting in beautiful rounds!! Ultigro finished 5th in this A/O 3'6'' handy round.
