Our latest breeding didn’t take so it will be fall before we have puppies again.
I definitely share your disappointment. There are no guarantees with breeding and Mother Nature doesn’t always cooperate with timing. We do have three breeding age, tested girls and our new male so I am planning to breed all my girls for litters this fall. If you have a deposit with me and are on my waitlist, please know that I appreciate your patience. I promise you Leo puppies are worth the wait:)

I am so excited to have a Leo from my lines in Westminster! Hayden finished second in the country last year for AKC standings. Please watch and cheer Hayden on this weekend. His dad is Windswept Paxton, a champion in his own right, from the pairing of Jess and Gus.

My six year old boy Max is in need of a new home though no fault of his own. He is gentle, goofy, sweet, affectionate and fully health tested. Everyone that meets him loves him. This is the situation, I have retired him from our breeding program and he is miserable every time my girls go into heat. My normally happy, sweet boy won’t eat his food and whines constantly throughout their cycles. He can never breed them because they are his daughters. The worst part of this, is that he and my younger stud are at odds with each other until the hormones die down. There is no peace in my home now. Here are pictures of the available puppies parents. Both are completely tested for their CHIC certifications. I do genetic testing for LPN1/LPN2/LPN3 and LEMP, complete thyroid panel, OFA X-rays on hips/elbows, and have their eyes checked by a veterinary ophthalmologist.

There is a nine month old female Leonberger that needs a new home. She is located in Merritt Island, Florida. Here is the information they shared with me about her:

It is with an extremely heavy heart that we need to look for a new loving home for our nine month Leonberger Freya. We added her to our family earlier this year. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen issues with our son, we need to prioritize his needs over our desire for a new family member. This is leading us to explore rehoming her if we can find a great match. Freya is a normal goofy, fun loving Leonberger puppy that is full of love and playfulness. She gets along great with our older dog and cat. She also does great with our son, niece, and nephew. It’s of no fault of her own that we need to find her a new home. If anyone is interested, please reach out to me at 252-207-1224 and we can discuss details.

We have two perfect, beautiful baby girls. The vet said small litter size was due to AI instead of natural breeding.
I am disappointed there weren’t more in the litter, but I’m glad they are all healthy and doing well. My other girl is getting really close to delivering now too.

I always have horse treats in one pocket and dog treats in my other:) We had the puppies out for a last romp in the yard together before some left for their new homes. Our horse Roxy is intrigued by them as you can see, and she loves treats too!

Amber tenderly cleaning her babies. They are a week old now.

So these little cuties were born this past Sunday (starting at 2AM). The delivery was stalled by a breech puppy and we ended up having a C-section to deliver the remaining puppies. She lost three in the process, but has five beautiful, healthy babies to show for her efforts. They are a week old now and doing well. There are three males and two females.

He was a professional squeaker remover and big goofy puppy to the end.

She is so wore out from playing in the snow today that she fell asleep in a pile of toys:)

Our cat is in heat right now and she won’t leave Gus alone. I told her that would make for some funny looking kittens:) Gus is always very good and patient with her following him everywhere.
