Getting quite tired of people switching to another groomer and not saying anything and then when I call to try to set up an appointment, I get some BS 😔. I have a business to run and I DON'T WANT TO GIVE IT UP, but if this keeps happening, I'll have to go back to work full time. I don't want to do that at all, I love my job, I've worked my butt off building Lucky Dog Grooming, but I can't run the business on air. Sorry but I am very hurt by this. Dogs I have been grooming for years and suddenly I don't groom them anymore😭. That's deeply painful, not just on a financial standpoint but for me personall......, it feels very betraying.

Ok guys and gals, that much dreaded time is now officially upon us.
It's time to get your pets on flea and tick prevention! I know it seems soon but I just had a client with multiple ticks on him. As our Indiana weather becomes more erratic, the ticks and fleas are coming out earlier than "normal". So far I haven't seen many fleas, but ticks are definitely out and on the move, especially in wooded areas.

I agree with her 100%, when a dog comes to us (as groomers) we basically see every square in ch of your pet, we touch 99% of your pet while grooming them, even if we are just brushing them. When something is different, it immediately catches our attention. I inform my clients of anything that is new, abnormal or that can cause an issue later on. When you constantly change groomers, the next groomer, or sometimes maybe a substitute groomer, doesn't know your pet like your "usual" groomer does. I always try my hardest to keep my clients informed of anything I find.

IMPORTANT UPDATE!!!-
If it is storming the day of your pet's appointment, it will be cancelled and rescheduled. I do not groom on stormy -referring to thunder mainly - days. Due to the fact that I am working in an uninsulated building, the sound of the thunder is amplified. I will not risk an injury to your pet because it is scared. Sorry for the inconvenience, but I put pet safety above money.

A friend of mine Amanda Markisen from Lucky Dog Grooming in The sunman Milan area stopped in today for a nice visit. It was so nice discussing our trade and our businesses and working together to build each other up. Life is already hard enough. No need to tear each other down.
