As the owner, it’s not often I’m on the other side of the camera. So this Christmas Eve, I wanted to share the silly outtakes from our impromptu holiday photoshoot! Here I am with my husband Liam (who’s cared for a number of our furry clients), our boy Aidan who is 2, and my “fur sister” Lily, a mini poodle mix who my parents adopted from a shelter in 2017 - she and Aidan are like siblings who drive each other nuts but have a strong bond. 🤪 We wish all of you a week of joyful and relaxing moments, and a Happy 2025!

We're excited to announce our newest service, Almost Overnights! If you're heading out of town and your pet could use some late night cuddles and early morning TLC while you're away, then this is for you! It's also a great option if you're looking for a more flexible, cost-effective alternative to overnight sitting. One of our big-hearted sitters will arrive at your home for a 90 minute pre-bedtime session to play with your pet, let them out before bedtime, and anything else that helps them feel comfortable and loved at nighttime. Then, they will come back first thing in the morning for 30-minute visit to feed and let them out again. You can also add on visits during the day! Do you love pets (especially dogs and cats)? Want to brighten your day by hanging out with furry friends, AND get paid for it? Paws and Claws is a professional, in-home dog walking and pet sitting service. We’re looking for big-hearted, reliable people like YOU to visit, walk and house-sit with our four-legged clients - while providing amazing customer service!

This job could be a great fit for you if you’re…

-A restaurant or retail worker who is available part time
-A freelancer, gig worker or grad student with a flexible schedule
-An active retiree or empty-nester who enjoys bonding with pets
-Working from home and want to add variety and four-legged friends to your day

We're hiring for:
Dog Walking: Visit our clients' homes to walk their dogs while they are at work.
Pet Sitting: Walk, feed and care for clients' pet/s while they travel.
Overnight/House Sitting: Spend the night in our client's homes and keep their pets company

*Basic requirements*
-Professional experience not required. However, you must be familiar with dog and cat needs and behaviors
-You MUST genuinely love animals! If you don’t, your job performance will be visibly affected and our clients will notice
-Be physically fit and able to work and commute in all types of weather (even rainy, cold or really hot days)
-Be comfortable picking up pet waste and occasionally cleaning up icky pet messes
-Have a reliable insured vehicle and valid drivers’ license
-Must be able arrive at client homes in the requested time frame
-Be able to provide a current and clean background check from within the past year
-Be 100% reliable (“calling in sick” or dropping out last minute is not an option, as the pets in your care depend on you)
