URGENT!! Acadiana Humane Society is almost out of cat food! We are out of clumping cat litter! We need help ASAP! Our volunteers have been busy since an unexpected hospital emergency and surgery last week, and we haven't been able to raise funds. Please donate today to Humane Society either through online donations, Chewy or Amazon wishlists, or shop local and drop off cat food and litter at Prof Erny's Music on S. College in Lafayette. Happy Veteran's Day! Acadiana Humane Society would like to honor those that serve, or have served our country in any branch of the military. If you, or a member in your household is a veteran, and you submit an application to adopt a cat, goat, or potbelly pig today you will get 75% off of our regular adoption fees. Check out our adoptions page for more information on our adoption process, fees, animals available, and the download link for our prescreening application. You do not have to adopt today to get the special discount. You just need to submit your application on Veteran's Day and note on the app that you or a member of your household is a veteran. Thank you! Please email applications and inquiries to [email protected] and copy [email protected] as the Director and her family are taking a few days off to deal with a recent loss. Our adoption coordinator can check the [email protected] email.

Acadiana Humane Society is in need of donations to help us participate in South Louisiana Giving Day this year! This has the potential to raise several thousand dollars for our all volunteer, non-profit, animal rescue! We need $100.00 to register for the 2020 fundraiser. We have an anonymous donor willing to MATCH the first $100.00 donated through this Facebook fundraiser. So your $10 donation becomes $20; or your $50 gift becomes $100. All money raised above the $100 goal will be used where it is most needed: either vet bills, pet food, cat litter, or an emergency. Today is the last Saturday to support Humane Society with your Santa Photos at Petco on Louisiana Ave in ! Your $9.95 donation gets you a free digital photo of your pet, or your kids, or your pets & kids, or your whole family with Santa! Santa & our volunteers will be at Petco North from 1pm to 4pm!
