Hey everyone! I absolutely hate to post anything negative but I made a HORRIBLE misjudgment on a puppy sale recently. This woman who I won’t blast by name had me snowballed. She got a tiny puppy I had been caring for extra for weeks before. The puppy had a clear bill of health from the vet and this woman also spoke to vet on the continued care. Needless to say she didn’t follow the care plan of the puppy. Due to her neglect of the puppy it sadly passed away in her care. I felt horrible. For her. Her child. Also for myself and my children who loved and cared for these babies for 10-12 weeks of their life before they go to new homes. I asked her to save the pup’s body so I could retrieve it at my expense and have it examined by the vet and I offered to bring her the last puppy from the litter that I had at no cost to her. She immediately refused to save the puppy’s body for me to pick up and refused the replacement sibling puppy. This should have been a huge red flag! But I felt horrible for them and have never been in this sort of situation before so I still refunded her 1/2 of the amount of the puppy and intended on refunding her the full amount until speaking to an attorney. Immediately following the passing of the puppy this 40yo woman’s father repeatedly called threatening me personally, my dog business & my family. Nothing I can say will ever take back my misjudgment and stupidity on selling this woman one of my puppy’s. Her and her family and friends have continued to harass and badmouth /post nasty lies twisting things to fit their narrative. But what I can say is that I am truly sorry she was unfit and that I didn’t do better by my dogs and their babies on who I allowed to buy a puppy. Moving forward I will be extremely selective on any approvals of puppy buyers. I would also like to state again that my dogs are AKC and all come from AKC parents. But I sell for a lesser price and do not provide papers on puppy sales (unless I’m selling to another breeder & for a larger price) all my dogs are sold on spay and neuter agreements as well. Unfortunately I had to disable reviews on my page to remove false reviews from people I’ve never even met or had any interactions with. I’m asking everyone to remember there’s always 2 sides to a story and that I have absolutely no problem answering any questions.
