*REHOMED* 🎉
𝗠𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲! 🌸🌿
Bramble is a 1 year old, female, spayed, Rat Terrier x Chihuahua mix (best guess). She’s been living with us for a few weeks now to work on training and socialization. Due to the progress she’s made in a few short weeks, we’re now putting out feelers to find her the perfect home.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝗴𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗯𝗼𝘂𝘁 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲?
If you’re an experienced dog owner, Bramble is an easy keeper. Nothing about her is overly hard to deal with and she doesn’t pose a risk to society. Bramble loves her people. If you’re looking for a portable lap-size dog that wants to do anything and everything with you, she’s your girl! She loves walking, hiking and playing fetch or tug with her ‘baby’ (alligator plush). Because she’s young, Bramble thrives when she’s given clear boundaries. This includes tethered place time, designated crate time and gates/fences so she isn’t given the run of the place. She’s a young Terrier mix, if you give her an inch, she will take a mile. I will request that the new owners keep up with these practices, as it’s immensely helped her learn how to self soothe and settle.
𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗱𝗼𝗲𝘀 𝗕𝗿𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱 𝗴𝗼𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗳𝗼𝗿𝘄𝗮𝗿𝗱?
I will 𝙉𝙊𝙏 be placing Bramble in a home where the owner expects to frequent dog parks or just laze around all day. Bramble is not the most biddable dog. She will not do something just because you ask for it, so if you’re looking for that kind of behavior— you’re better off picking a spaniel or herder. Bramble wants to know what’s in it for her and then she’ll decide if she wants to partake. Bramble needs someone who will advocate for her space, just because she’s cute and small does not mean she enjoys random strangers rushing up on her. Bramble is able to coexist just fine with other dogs, she’s met and lived with my entire crew. However, I will not place her in a home where there is already another pushy female dog. Again, Bramble is a young Terrier mix, so she will push buttons, has prey drive and is not above taking cheap shots if she feels like she has a leg up.

𝗛𝗼𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱
• Sleeps through the night, no accidents during the day. She will circle around and sit by the door if she has to go out.
𝗞𝗲𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗹 𝗧𝗿𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱
• Can be left alone for 6-8 hours, will also sleep through the night in a crate. Can use either a basic wire kennel or a plastic kennel.
𝗦𝗸𝗶𝗹𝗹𝘀:
Walks well on leash with a micro Herm Sprenger prong collar, tasty treats and a positive attitude. She does not care about basic leash pressure on a flat collar, she needs a tool that meets her where she’s at. She’s unbothered by fireworks, loud sounds, thunder storms and most novel surfaces. Continued work on confidence building and exposure to new places would greatly benefit her. She’s been to the Park Point Art Fair, Canal Park, a few of my Group Classes, Home Depot and various breweries.
𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 & 𝗪𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀:
Spayed. UTD on shots via paperwork she came with. Microchipped through PetLink. Registered in the city if Superior. She tolerates nail dremeling and teeth brushing. Bramble eats once a day in the morning and gets 1/4C of *Redpaw Poweredge 32K.
*She would do just fine on any of their other formulas or smaller bags, ie. Redpaw X-Series Perform, 4lb bag https://www.hollywoodfeed.com/p/101162/redpaw-dog-food-x-series-perform
𝙄𝙣 𝙖 𝙥𝙚𝙧𝙛𝙚𝙘𝙩 𝙬𝙤𝙧𝙡𝙙, Bramble’s new owner would be a young 20 or 30-something who is eager to learn about dog behavior and wants a spunky adventure buddy to spend their free hours with.
If you’re interested in welcoming Bramble into your home (for FREE, no rehome fee required), please message my business page or contact me via details below. I will be picky in the placement of this sweet pup and should any problems arise I will take her back. She deserves it.
