Happy September and Tuesday!

It’s a little busy around here with kids, animals and garden tending that I have had a name block.

We have 3 chicks that need names and we decided see what our wonderful Homestead friends & family have for suggestions.

We have the following names being used already; Juno, Mia, Astrid, Lulu, Ginger & Comet
The three we will be naming breeds are Silver-Laced Wyandotte (baby 8/17/23), Silky and Leghorn (End of July)

It’s been a busy week on the homestead. We have finished our 2nd harvest of our North Star Cherries, finished renovating the front deck and stair planters, clean up of the front salsa garden and added 2 more chicks to our flock. I can’t wait to see the rest of our harvest.

Happy Saturday! We are hoping everyone is enjoying the beginning of May. We have a friendly reminder that we are closed May 7 - May 21 to enjoy some well earned vacation with a couple of our kids.

Happy Friday! Last night Charles had a nice evening at “The Mom spa”. It’s not perfect, but he has so much energy today that he ran around the dog park and went on a 1.6 mile walk with Eric and I with lots of energy to spare. When we got home Charles helped Julie with the chicken chores and played with his teddy bear.

Look at the growth this boy has done in 8 weeks! He is such a good boy. He is learning sit, stay, lay down, shake, roll over & leave it. He loves; tormenting his fur brother and sister, go on outings, car rides so he can sleep, Playing with our little friend Koda and sleeping with Mom & Dad. He is also cautious of our chickens.

Not knowing how big/tall he is going to be is really killing me.
