I see soo many post of dogs hanging and biting to bite. My humble opinion is there is so much more to have a top pair dog that it requires so much more than bite. Dogs that just bite and hang only stir the mommas up because once on bellers the others are looking for the threat. The dog has to gauge how hard to bite, whether to bite at all, and where to be in a seconds notice. Does livestock need bit, yes they do. Do they need bit as hard as the dog can bite every time, NO! Often times they don’t even need bit and the next thing you know they are dragging half way across the pen by the nose. Just my daily rant hope everyone has some good holidays!
Moving livestock is done with respect not fear, same as training is done with respect not fear.
