I BOUGHT SHAWARMA AND COFFEE FOR A HOMELESS MAN — IN RETURN, HE GAVE ME A NOTE AND TOLD ME TO READ IT AT HOME.

That evening, the thermometer showed 26.6°F. The wind cut through my coat, and snowflakes stung my cheeks. All I wanted was to get home, take a hot bath, and sip cocoa. But as I approached the shawarma stand near the corner, my steps faltered.

There he was — a man wrapped in tattered fabric, trembling as a scrappy dog pressed against him for warmth. His rough, pleading voice broke through the cold.

"Just a cup of hot water, please," he asked.

"GET OUT OF HERE!" the vendor snapped, not even looking at him.

The dog whimpered, and something inside me broke. My grandmother's words echoed: "Kindness costs nothing but can change everything." I stepped forward.

"Two coffees and two shawarmas, please."

The vendor frowned but filled the order. Blushing, I handed the bag and cups to the man. "Here," I muttered.

As I walked away, his raspy voice stopped me. "Wait." He held out a crumpled paper. "Read it at home," he said with a strange smile.

I stuffed the note into my pocket, dismissing it as I focused on my commute, work emails, and the hundred other trivialities of modern life.

It wasn't until the next evening, as I cleaned out my coat pocket, that I found it. The paper was creased and worn, but the message was clear.

The words left me speechless. I whispered to myself, "Is this real?"⬇️

For those who don't know about Maggie:
In 2018 Maggie made her journey to England as a foster dog. Prior to her arrival in UK, she lived in Lebanon where she was used as target practice.
Maggie was pregnant at that time and sadly lost all of her pups.She lost her eyes, an ear and suffered a fractured jaw. ( thus her now wonky smile and the face we've all come to love)
Maggie arrived in UK where she was only meant to be a foster but a kind lady ( her now rescuer cm owner) fell in love with her. Maggie was blind and unsteady on her feet but was happy and overly friendly. While waiting for the freedom flight to UK she was scared of the world and had refused to leave the room she was in.
In UK Maggie went from strength to strength and after 1 month adjusting to life in UK, she was officially adopted.
Blindness was never a disadvantage for her, she was a part of everything her family did and with minimal assistance from anyone. She is the best behaved and even tempered dog in her rescuer's family of similarly abused and handicapped dogs. Fearless, respectful, affectionate, kind......no wonder she is a therapy dog now. She excels in everything she does and is living her best life, helping her owner foster similar dogs and even welcoming new dog members into the family. She is now the matriarch who keeps the family glued together and makes it complete.

Unfortunately, at this time we have not received any serious offers to adopt or foster these sisters.
We have decided to separate them and socialize the dogs. They can no longer be in dog boarding. We really need fosters for each of the sisters.
They are one year old. They weigh about 60 lbs. They are very kind and do not show any aggression. They accept human affection but are afraid of it. They get along well with other dogs.

This is Taffy 3 months old learning to sit n stay with distractions- what is the best age to begin training ?? The moment the puppy or adult dog is in your family pack - what we have to teach a dog is not something that would be normally done in their own Doggie path so that’s why it’s so important to give them the words paired to the behaviors that we need as humans for them to have a healthy, happy life. My one statement is always the same. This is happy taffy. She is chewing on a red barn bully stick. It’s important to give a puppy hard and soft things to use for oral stimulation. They need to chew at least two hours a day if not more. Keeping their environment, safe and giving them multiple things to chew will, reduce behavioral issues and make for a happy dog!

Training, your dog is so very important and taking the time to first train them at home until you get a strong foundation of the command that you’re training then you slowly add distractions in your home not outside then you slowly take that outside. Your reward system has to outweigh the distraction Example, would you want a penny or $100 bill for a reward You perform the task a little different being asked and rewarded the higher amount correct think of those terms when you go out to train your dog you need to have a reward already set your pocket treats because they’re quick and easy. The secret though is keeping the tree hidden eventually until the behaviors performed and the reward comes after. Scarlets, the white dog with just the patch on the eye, and Chloe is the puppy who’s seven months old with the little baby in front of her learning how to greet and meet humans. I had a reward such as chicken sat and waited and I talked to the parent on how to do the introduction as well so control your environment humans and dogs for great and setting out for success.#goodvibes #goodhuman #gooddog #beachdog#dogtraininganytime
