Kahula's intake images taken August 26, 2024 she is a 14 2 hand POA. Breed ? Quarter horse that looks a bit like a Hackney.
She let me trim her front hooves but needs a little more work for me to trim the hind hooves.

Today we lost one of the most precious, sweet, and loving horses one could ever know. Willey was 26 years old and took a somersault fall 6 months ago, straining his hip. Today, he was out in the pasture by the barn, and he decided to take off running with another horse, and he fell only to get back up and fall again. One of our volunteers, Pam, called me, and I quickly got home for the Sutherland Springs Museum, where we were having a rummage and bake sale a mile from the property.
Our deepest thanks to Dr.Glover for attending to Willey's needs.
Emergencies are always tough. Animal Crossing Veterinary Hospital was there in his and out of his time of need.
Donations are always appreciated. Maintaining these beautiful creatures costly in life and passing. Farm call, euthanasia, and backhoe services. Estimated at $850
He is now with his best buddy, Callaghan. He never bonded with another horse and started losing weight after his passing.

Sky was a ray of sunshine. This little Mare came to us as a severe starvation case and a back injury at 5 years old and in foal. She lost the foal at approximately 5 months. Her body was not strong enough.
She regained her weight but gave the farrier nine kinds of trouble trying to protect the back injury. She loved back scratches and had two great herd buddies, Mel and Charlie.
With a possible storm coming in, I brought her and her buddies into their stalls at 10:30 Monday night. She was not stressed or showing any signs of pain or colic. We said our good nights and called it a day. The next morning, the donkeys, Charlie and Sky, are the first to be fed.
It was a tremendously sad shock to find her deceased in her stall.
Sky had a great life with a herding family and caretakers who loved her.
Always enjoy the people and animals who have been placed in your life.
She touched many lives.
Celebrate those who have gone before us, knowing that everything and everyone leaves impressions on our hearts.
Celebrating her life.
