We’re very proud to announce that Stark the newest member of the Bennington PD is one of the puppies from our last litter. The entire litter was top notch but I knew by the time he was 2 weeks old that he needed a working home. The Bennington PD was in need of a new K9 and the rest was a no brainer. After meeting Stark and putting him through some assessments They too agreed that he was what they were looking for. We’re very proud of this litter, each pup has a special purpose and I’m glad we were able to recognize and place each one accordingly. We wish K9 Stark and his handler Officer Macaulay the best of luck in their upcoming trainings and the future serving the Bennington Community! GOOD LUCK K9 Team!

SUMMARY OF INCIDENT: On 03/13/2023 Officer Rajda was contacted by the Castleton Police Department in reference to a motor vehicle stop with suspected drugs/narcotics in the vehicle. Upon speaking with Officer Webster, Officer Rajda and K9 King Nash responded to the scene. Upon arriving, Officer Rajda made contact with the operator/occupants and observed indicators consistent with drug/narcotics activity. Officer Rajda then deployed K9 King Nash for an exterior sniff of the vehicle which yielded an alert. Two of the occupants, identified as Gillett and Paquette consented to a roadside search of their person and both were found to be in possession of suspected he**in. Gillett was also found to be in possession of a loaded magazine to a handgun. A third occupant identified as C**n also consented to a roadside search of her person and was found to be in possession of prescription medication which was not properly labeled. The vehicle was then seized and a search warrant was applied for and granted. Upon ex*****on of the search warrant, multiple bags of he**in and two fi****ms were located and seized.

We have a total of 12 new babies!

Gamora stopped contracting after 3 puppies due her uterus being too stretched from large litters so I took her in for an emergency section where they pulled 9 more.

We have a final tally of 6 boys and 6 girls

Mom is doing well and currently waking up from surgery.
