A yearly wellness visit for pets is recommended because it allows a veterinarian to monitor their overall health, detect potential diseases early when they are easier to treat, and administer preventative care like vaccinations. This all ensures a longer, healthier life for your pet by helping us catch issues before they become serious.

We sometimes request a f***l sample to analyze it for the presence of intestinal parasites in your pet. This helps in early detection and treatment of potential parasite infections which can harm your animal's health and potentially spread to other pets or even humans. This is considered an important part of routine veterinary care to ensure optimal pet health.

Routine diagnostic testing can identify potential health issues early on, even before noticeable symptoms appear, allowing for preventative treatment and improved outcomes; essentially, it's a proactive approach to maintaining your pet's well-being by catching diseases in their early stages when they are most treatable. It is good to get a base-line level to also have if your pet ever gets sick we can compare that bloodwork to the healthy bloodwork.

With Dental Month coming up in February we wanted to show you this amazing before and after photo of a dental scale and polish!

A dental cleaning for pets provides significant health benefits by preventing gum disease, tooth decay, and infections, leading to improved oral health, reduced pain, fresher breath, and can even contribute to better overall health by minimizing the risk of systemic issues related to oral bacteria entering the bloodstream, potentially impacting organs like the heart, liver, and kidneys; essentially enhancing a pet's quality of life and lifespan.
