The idea of training a dog…. Why is it important?
There are so many answers to this question.
Safety, peace of mind, habit forming good behaviors or correcting incorrect habits, helping manage characteristics common to a specific breed, team building within a home or individual environment and the list could go on.
Honestly, very similar to reasons we do our best to raise strong, confident successful children.
Archie is with us for board and train. I am enjoying the process watching him grow.
This morning we are Wrking on a LONG sit stay.
Archie has been seated in this spot for almost 10 minutes now.
We’ve all heard the idea “ dog needs a job” !
Sometimes the “job” is as simple as the sit stay.
I have been working Archie’s mind, requiring specific behavior from him.
In turn, this activity or job creates a tired dog mentally. A tired dog mentally is a good dog physically.
I’d love help you learn how to change the dynamics within your home and relationship with your dog.

After 8 classes, these beginner dogs are set up to succeed even with a tempting ball rolling past them.
When Ghost forgets and goes for the ball, Noah gets that magic word “no” out. This resets the dog for success.
Yes! I’d love to work with you and your pup!

Adelhorst shepherds
Love this video from one of my favorite families.
They have two Adelhorst shepherds …. Can’t say enough about how I love knowing these two girls are in their families care
Puppies ♥️
There’s something special about seeing a child holding a puppy.
So much to teach through nature.
These puppies are less than a week.
Therapy dogs
Chance lll from Adelhorst had the opportunity to visit with the middle schools in Pella yesterday.
These kids will remember this moment for the rest of their lives.
Chance gave them a few moments to relax and forget the troubles of the world.
The value of this time invested in the lives of others is beyond rewarding.
