🌱Big Day Today Folks!🧑🏾‍🌾
Today we received a big drop of soil, compost, and amendments to kick off the season! Big thanks to our supporters for pushing this work forward!

☺️A few updates for y'all!🌸

Firstly, we are now part of a network of 13 growers across the southeastern US, growing plantitas for , which provides herbal remedies to black n' brown folks in WNC and beyond!

We're also going to be growing some special ultra cross collards and okra varieties from our friends at they do amazing work making sure our community is prepared to grow as the climate changes in our region, check em out!🌱

📣In April, Uplift Access Garden Project received a grant from Persimmons Collective which will allow us to provide free herbal remedies to our BIPOC neighbors, and folks with varying abilities! This funding will also support much needed infrastructure on the land to make it more accessible for folks with mobility aids❤️‍🔥🌱

Lastly, this year we'll be hosting our first official Garden Gathering & Workday! Look for more info about that closer to June🌼

Looking forward to sharing with y'all the abundance this year brings!

In Gratitude,
Isabella🌺

⏰ Time: 2:30 PM - 5:00 PM
📍 Location: 30 George Washington Carver Ave.

Still in awe of the strength of these herbs, they've been through a hurricane and a couple of freezing nights with just a flimsy piece of fabric protecting them. We harvested the nettle yesterday, our last harvest before winter. There's still SO much cleanup to do on the land, and so much pain balm I have to remake, but I'm so grateful for this work. Even in exhaustion I know this is where I'm meant to be, Collaboration and Mutual Care is what sustains us.
Thank you, I love y'all!🤟🏽🧑🏽‍🌾❤️‍🔥
