AVMA celebrates National Veterinary Technician Week (Oct. 15-21)
(SCHAUMBURG, Illinois) October 11, 2023—During National Veterinary Technician Week, the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA) is celebrating the invaluable contributions that veterinary technicians provide for the health and welfare of animals; and sharing resources with veterinarians to make the most of these integral members of the veterinary health care team.
This year's National Veterinary Technician Week theme is "Pearls of Wisdom," which refers to the traditional 30-year wedding anniversary gift of pearls to commemorate the 30th anniversary of this observance of National Veterinary Technician Week in the United States.
"As we celebrate National Veterinary Technician Week, it's important to recognize the invaluable contributions that veterinary technicians make to the field of veterinary medicine," said Dr. Rena Carlson, president of the AVMA. "These dedicated professionals are the backbone of our veterinary health care teams, providing compassionate care and technical skill that are second to none.

Found safe after 15 days! Odessa decided to take a chance and ask for help by sitting on someone’s porch. Thankfully that person did help and called Swanzey PD to assist. Welcome home, Odessa!

Urgent Missing in Swanzey NH – “Odessa” is a female Husky Mix, black with white on her face, chest and feet, blue eyes, 11 years, 77 pounds. She is wearing a purple collar with tags, is microchipped, and is Dragging a Leash. Odessa is shy with men and dogs that she doesn’t know – DO NOT CHASE! Missing since 6/19/2023 (typo in flier) from the Centerview Drive area. Please share her flier and watch carefully in or near Swanzey.
