Homemade Pizza Rolls

Homemade pizza rolls are a fun and customizable snack or appetizer. Here's a recipe using pizza dough:

Ingredients:

1 pound pizza dough (store-bought or homemade)
1 cup pizza sauce
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
Your favorite pizza toppings (pepperoni, sausage, mushrooms, onions, etc.)
Instructions:

Prep the dough: Preheat oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet. If using store-bought dough, let it come to room temperature according to package instructions.

Roll out the dough: On a lightly floured surface, roll out the pizza dough into a large rectangle, about 1/8 inch thick.

Spread the sauce and toppings: Spread pizza sauce evenly over the dough, leaving a small border around the edges. Sprinkle with mozzarella cheese and your desired toppings.

Roll and cut: Starting from one long edge, tightly roll the dough into a log. Pinch the seams to seal. Using a sharp knife, cut the log into 1-inch slices.

Bake: Place the pizza rolls on the prepared baking sheet, seam-side down. Bake for 12-15 minutes, or until golden brown and cooked through.

Serve: Let cool slightly before serving with your favorite dipping sauce.

Tips:

Homemade Pizza Dough: If making your own dough, follow a basic pizza dough recipe. Let it rise before rolling it out.
Cheese Options: You can use any type of cheese you prefer, such as cheddar, provolone, or pepper jack.
Variations: Get creative with your fillings! You can use different sauces like pesto or Alfredo, and add various toppings like spinach, olives, or cooked chicken.
Freezing: Pizza rolls can be frozen before baking. Freeze them on a baking sheet until solid, then transfer to a freezer bag. Bake directly from frozen, adding a few extra minutes to the baking time.
Enjoy your delicious homemade pizza rolls!
