One of the key aspects of an obedient dog is the ability to resist temptation. These temptations can be described as distractions, which is anything that entices the dog to no longer do the requested command. The only way to have a fully obedient dog is by conditioning them with correction, so that they may choose the correct decision when distractions occur.

Meet our family!

We are Morgan and Kelsey McManus, the owners of Four Flyways Retrievers LLC and Half Acre Kennels LLC. We have a little boy, Andrew, who joined our family in January of 2022, and we have a little one on the way that is due in March of 2024. We have been blessed with our family, business and our clients. We will be open for 3 years in March of 2024 but we have been in the dog training industry for almost 8 years.

We take pride in what we do and what we represent - giving our clients a better version of their dog and a forever hunting partner.

We have two business names that run under the same operation, and location. Four Flyways Retrievers LLC is our gundog program and the name we run our hunt tests under. Half Acre Kennels is our boarding, grooming and doggy daycare business name. Both are still open, and under the same operation! Don't worry, we are still here!

We want to thank all of our clients for their support over the years, those that have engaged with our posts that haven't been clients, or those that are thinking about becoming clients. We appreciate each and every single one of our supporters that have helped our small business get us to where we are today.

Meet Winston! He is now working off leash on the e-collar and approaching the finishing point of our formal obedience program. He will be ready to go home soon as a new dog.
