Merritt Equine raises quality quarter/paint horses for halter, western, english, cutting and ranch riding as well as speed events.

We raised our ranch horses for some years and in about 2000 started breeding quality paint and quarter horses. All of our paint horses are also registered as quarter horses. Since then we have been breeding for most of the riding disciplines that have confirmation that can compete in the halter arena. As well as good looks and ability, we are breeding horses that are quiet and friendly with good m

inds. We have shown several of our horses with several superior horses and many class winners. We want you to like our horses as we do, if you don't like a horse you buy from us for any reason, you can bring it back-assuming he wasn't damaged in some way while you had him.

Within the past month Merritt Equine bred horses have shown in Reined Cowhorse, cutting, breakaway roping, ranch sorting, team penning and racing. There's been 4 1sts, 5 2nds and not a single one has not had a top 5, top 10 or top 20. Here's to a very good start to the year! M E Talkin Trash was sold and left for his new home to join his full brother, M E Specks Cutter! They are both by Third Cutting and out of our stunning cutting bred mare Smart Kisser. These c**ts are both athletic with such grounded minds! We have one more full brother to these two available. A 4 year old trained cutter gelding by the name of M E Kissin Up. Congratulations to Veronica for the purchase of a another outstanding c**t!

Ridden by James Flores for trainer Monty Arrossa, M E Ettago Relent, earned $14,680 for running second. She has won or placed in 6 of 7 starts with wins in the Bittertoot Futurity Consolation and the Roche Equine Futurity. Owned by breeders David Merritt or Kim Newman.

This gelding is smart quick and sensitive, he has been road out alot, roped on and could go alot of different directions. I think he would make an excellent team sorting or break away horse.
