PUBLIC HEALTH WARNING

POTENTIAL DANGER OF FRENCHIE HAIR ~ In a press release today, the National Institute of Health has announced the discovery of a potentially dangerous substance found in the hair of ALL French Bulldogs. This substance, called "gotta-hav canine" has been linked with the following symptoms in female humans: *reluctance to cook *reluctance to perform housework *reluctance to wear anything but sweat pants or leggings, any attire that makes one ready for a quick outside jaunt *reluctance to work except in support of a dog show, rescue event, agility circuit or with a grooming table. *physical craving for contact with Frenchies(may be an addiction) Beware!
If you come in contact with a female human affected by this substance be prepared to talk about French Bulldogs for hours on end. This was a public service announcement ... Surgeon General's Warning: Frenchies are expensive, addictive, and may impair the ability to use common sense. They also tend to be like potato chips... you can’t just have one!

Introducing…Matcha!

What’s cuter than a Frenchie puppy? A pied Frenchie puppy! Matcha was surrendered to FBRN when her previous owner didn’t have enough time for her. Sweet as can be, this nearly two-year-old girl has dazzled everyone she’s met while in foster care. So far, Matcha has become acquainted with dogs, cats, horses AND goats! While she hasn’t met any children yet, she really likes adults! Matcha is clearly the kind of girl you can bring anywhere and she’ll be the life of the party!

Matcha is crate trained and will be working on house training with her foster family. She has some moderate hind end weakness, which will be evaluated at her upcoming vet appointment. Matcha is a little too young to work, so she will need some help paying for her upcoming expenses! To donate to this cutie’s care, please put your paw on the donate button at the top of her page. She would Matcha-ppreciate it!

⭐️PENDING ADOPTION- APPS NO LONGER ACCEPTED⭐️

Get ready to break the internet! Sweet 6-month-old Chanelle is ready to find her forever family! Chanelle was surrendered when her family’s medical situation changed and they found they could no longer provide her the care she needs.

Fortunately, there isn’t anything out of the ordinary to report about this little girl. She has a clean bill of health with no allergies and no need for a special diet. Like all puppies, she is working on developing good behaviors and would benefit from a household that will continue to provide training and structure. Chanelle is almost there on potty training and foster mom reports great progress! She also will sleep in her crate throughout night.

Chanelle is your typical puppy. She has lots of energy and enjoys racing around the yard finding sticks. She loves to show off her zoomies whenever she can and has no fear, so a fenced in yard is a must. She will do great in a family that can provide her outlets for her energy balanced with snuggle time. Chanelle’s foster family consists of children, cats, and a dog who she has gotten along great with. Because she’s still young, Chanelle’s family will need to be home enough during the day for continued potty training.

Foster mom has this to say, “Chanelle has so much love to give to everyone. She is super playful and tries to explore everything without fear. If Chanelle had a mantra it would be GO GO GO. She is high energy and afraid of nothing.”

If you think Chanelle is the perfect fit for your family, please submit your application and tell us why you and your family are the perfect match! Then be prepared to travel to Central FL because FBRN does not ship dogs as cargo, and adopters are expected to pick up their dogs from their foster family.

FBRN dogs are in foster care in people’s private homes. For the foster families’ safety, we do not disclose specific locations, and we don’t set up meet and greets prior to applications. For detailed information about the dogs in our care, please read the extensive bios on each dog.

Please join us in welcoming handsome Zach to the FBRN family. 5-year-old Zach and his sister Kelly, a breeding pair, were tearfully surrendered when their family’s situation changed and they had to move. After evaluating their behavior the decision was made to foster them separately and Kelly has moved on to her own foster home.

So far this handsome brindle boy is settling in nicely. He’s a happy guy who enjoys zooming around the backyard and keeping it safe from unwanted visitors in the form of wild turkeys. He has yet to fully integrate into the resident pack, but so far the limited interactions with the resident Frenchie have gone well. Zach is full of energy but enjoys a good couch snuggle session with foster mom accompanied by an endless supply of Frenchie kisses.

Zach appears to be a healthy boy but a trip to the vet is in order to confirm. In the meantime Zach and his foster family will be working hard on his leash training and manners. If you would like to sponsor Zach, please visit his bio on the Foster page. We’re sure he’d love to thank you with a big wet Frenchie kiss.

Meet Ember! Her years as a breeder may have dimmed her light, but now this brave girl is glowing brighter than ever.

Ember came to FBRN with a skin infection, hyperplastic ear canals, cauliflower ears, and a scar on her left eye caused by an untreated ulcer. Her once beautiful bat ears are permanently crumpled, the result of repeated and untreated infections. But in spite of all she has endured, Ember craves attention from people. She can’t hear well, but when she makes eye contact with her foster mom, she immediately sprints over for a head scratch and a belly rub!

Learning how to be a pet can be a long process, but so far Ember has been an excellent student. She gets an A-plus in tearing apart stuffies, and while her potty training needs work, she scores excellent marks in fashion with her dapper diaper covers. Getting her to eat breakfast is a challenge, as she prefers to sleep in (we feel you, girl), but she scarfs down dinner like a champ.

It will take some time before Ember is well enough (in both body and mind) to be placed for adoption. But she is well on her way! If you’d like to support her transformation to beloved pet, you can sponsor her by visiting her bio on the Foster page. We are so grateful to our supporters for giving dogs like Ember a second chance at life, and thank you a million times over for your generous support!

Ember is being fostered in PA. https://frenchbulldogrescue.org/foster-dogs/ember/

⭐️ MISSING FRENCH BULLDOG IN GRANADA HILLS, CA ⭐️ PLEASE SHARE! ⭐️

Frenchies continue to be stolen on what seems to be a daily basis lately. Be vigilant! Microchip
your pets! The two most important ways to prevent your dog from going missing are to:
1) Never leave your dog unattended in your yard, and
2) Never let your dog off-leash in an unsecured area.

Please refrain from negative comments, they are not constructive nor do they help with locating the lost dog.
