Ferdinand is just one example of the dogs that Garrick has helped. Ferd struggled with stress in the kennel environment, which is where these great treats come in! RAVEN’S HUSKY HAVEN AND RESCUE will be at Captain Jacks Pumpkin Patch on Saturday, Sept. 24th, with a few highly adoptable and adorable Huskies! 🎃 We will have a “kissing booth” available for photos with these amazing dogs for a small donation...who can resist that?!! 💋 Plan on coming out between 10am-1pm on Saturday and help support the work they do in caring for these beauties until they find their forever family! So whether you’re looking for a sassy Husky or a couch potato, they have them all! Let’s welcome the Fall class of 2022 below...👇 🎉

ALSO, Ravens will be hosting, leading and judging a dog pet parade costume contest at Captain Jacks at 1pm that same day, so dress up your pooch in your favorite Halloween costume and we’ll parade them all around the pumpkin patch! 🎃 👻 We will take photos of each and every participant, and a few winners will receive a basket full of goodies! Cinnamon is a dazzling red and white husky. Cinnamon’s personality is just the right blend of sweet and saucy. She can be mischievous in order to assert her husky independence, which can lead to laughter and problem solving. Cinnamon can also radiate quiet peacefulness when spending quality time with people. Her ability to be easygoing allows for relaxed or boisterous playtime with other dogs.

We had a great time this weekend with Sigma Lambda Sigma Service Sorority and Sigma Nu at NIU! These students worked hard to help us fundraise and support our huskies. Pet the Huskies was not only a great success in fundraising, but in connecting with our community as well! Raven's looks forward to working with Sigma Lambda Sigma and Sigma Nu again.

Filo has been working on his shyness during his time at Raven's. He is slowly warming up to people as he learns that they aren't so bad! At Raven's, we help shy huskies with sensitivity exercises. In addition to these, our volunteers make a big difference in providing dogs like Filo with exposure everyday. While Filo waits for his new home he is encouraged to become more comfortable with strangers!

We hope that you'll join us this Saturday for Pet the Huskies! This fundraiser brings us together with the Northern Illinois University community to support our shelter.
This year we are partnering with Sigma Lambda Sigma Service Sorority and Sigma Nu at NIU! Pet the Huskies will take place at the Sigma Nu house, 1114 Blackhawk Rd, from 3-5 PM. Stop by to pet huskies, eat hotdogs, and support a great cause!

Hi everypawdy! My name is Ferdinand and I'm on a vacation at Raven's. I've been here longer than my friends, they say I'm the longest term resident.
I can't wait to head home soon! I look forward to relaxing on the couch and telling my new family all about the adventures I've been on. Some of my hobbies include fetch, tug of war, and cat naps outside. I really hope my new home has a lot of hot dogs!

Princess is a 7 year old girl that was returned to us after her adopter moved to a smaller house. Upon her return, we evaluated her health and found a mammary mass. Princess was taken in for surgery to evaluate the mass for cancer. However, she finally found some luck and was declared cancer free. Princess is demonstrating resilience while recovering in a foster home, but Raven's is low on funds after her costly surgery.

Princess is a sweet girl who deserves a great home. Even after the challenges life has given her, there isn't a belly rub she won't take! Princess has been a stray, hit by a car, returned to the shelter, through a massive surgery, and hasn’t given up through it all. As a volunteer favorite, we know that Princess will find her way to the perfect home that she well deserves.

Today, International Charity Day, is a great opportunity to support Princess on her adoption and health journey. We hope that with your support Raven's can cover the cost of Princess's surgery so we are able to continue providing her the best care possible. Her total costs landed at just under $1,500. Your support will give Princess a new beginning, and help us help more huskies. Whether you're able to donate or simply share our fundraiser, you'll be making a world of difference.

Watson is our new 5 year old arrival! As a stunning light-coated gentleman, Watson welcomes new people. He can always find a place to get comfortable when it's time to relax, yet he's always ready for fun when you are! Watson enjoys time in the house or out in the yard. He is incredibly animated and engaged when taken on an adventure to explore!

Ryker is a precious, 2 year old, red and white husky. He's still discovering all the world has to offer, starting at Raven's. We've enjoyed watching him shift from hesitance to confidence. Once Ryker feels comfortable, he is the perfect canine companion.
Ryker is cuddly, loving, fun and playful. His excitement in discovering a new toy or adventure is contagious. Though receptive to learning and guidance, his husky independence and intelligence allow him to express his opinions clearly.

Meet our long term stays! Unfortunately, we have some huskies that haven't made it home yet. And we have no clue why! Each of these long term stays have amazing personalities and adorable looks. Leo is our longest resident who arrived on January 22. He needs an owner who will dedicate themselves to enrichment and exploration. Maya is the oldest puppy of Raven's at 11 years old! And she doesn't act her age. Maya is playful and energetic, and looking for the perfect family to embrace her. Ferdinand is a super intelligent boy. He loves to show off tricks, and play with his friends. Ferdinand likes to play but also knows when it's time to be a couch potato.
