We regret to inform you that Dr. Miller’s last day in our hospital will be August 21st. He will continue taking appointments until this date. Dr. Miller and his wife will be moving out of state and are currently deciding on what city they will call their future home.

Our other veterinarians are here and ready to assist with your veterinary care. We encourage you to visit our “Our Team” page (linked below) to learn more about our current veterinarians. For our pet pig clientele, Dr. Hertz is available for pig appointments. We are also actively working to hire another veterinarian.

Dr. Miller joined us in 2021 after graduating from Michigan State University’s college of Veterinary Medicine. He is sad to leave Bethany and is thankful to have gotten to know everyone so well over the last three years. We are so fortunate for his time here and will miss him dearly. We wish him all the best on his future endeavors and appreciate your patience during this time of transition.

Help us celebrate our amazing reception staff! Veterinary Receptionist Week is celebrated the last full week of April every year. We take this week to show extra appreciation for these amazing staff members. Today they enjoyed a lunch out at Crooked Horns & they get lots of other goodies throughout the week!

Our receptionists do so much more than answer the phone, though that can be a plenty tough job in itself! They are the first contact on our clients best and worst days. At any time they are balancing a schedule, educating clients, checking many, many inboxes for communications, and juggling whatever else it takes to keep appointments running smoothly… all with a smile! 🙂

We are very excited to welcome a new veterinarian to our team, Dr. Alan Hertz!

Dr. Hertz graduated from Iowa State University in 2005 and has practiced a variety of medicine since his graduation including mixed animal, production, and companion animal medicine. He enjoys establishing long term relationships with pets and finding ways to constantly improve their quality of life.

He is married with two boys. His furry family members are a 1 year old female Bassett hound named Jude and a 3 year old female wire terrier mix named Lucy. His cats are Animagus, a 6 year old female, and Shadow, a 7 month old male. His kids have helped name and select the three youngest and are definitely their companions.

As a family, they enjoy spending time outdoors exploring nature, music, and games. They like to travel, as well as explore their community.

Dr. Hertz is now booking appointments and will be working in our hospital beginning Monday, March 4th. We look forward to growing our team and we are confident Dr. Hertz will allow us to provide excellent care to even more pets in our community!
