Today we got a new phone system installed so that we can better handle our call volume - unfortunately there have been a couple of hiccups and our voicemail greeting is currently for our sister clinic in Crystal Lake (Animal Medical Center), whoopsie!! While we navigate that, you should still be able to leave us messages all the same! If you have any doubts, please feel free to email us!

New recommendations to make sure your dog has a Leptospirosis vaccine. Please let us know if you have any questions about this important vaccine.

🚨 Important Update: Leptospirosis Now a Core Vaccine for ALL Dogs
The 2022 AAHA Canine Vaccination Guidelines have been updated to classify the leptospirosis vaccine as CORE for all dogs starting at 12 weeks of age – regardless of lifestyle, location, or breed.
Why the change?
🌆 ALL dogs are at risk—urban, suburban, and rural.
⚠️ Potentially fatal, even with treatment.
🔄 Zoonotic—it can spread from pets to humans.
🏢 Dogs in daycare and kennels also face exposure risks.

As we wrap up the celebration of Vet Tech Appreciation week, we wanted to take a moment to thank each and every one of our staff members who work tirelessly to make sure your pets are well cared for!!! They wear many different hats here and are always willing to help!

Oliver says it's 🍁October FIRST🍁!!! That means it's time for monthly flea/tick/and heartworm prevention!!!!
Even though it's October, it is still HOT outside!!! Which means the bugs are still out so your pets still need protection!!! We recommend treating your pets year round as even ticks are more active in COLDER weather!!! That's right! Ticks are MOST active in 35-40° weather!!!

Hi friends, Milo here! 🐾 With the busy holiday weekend here, just wanted to send out a friendly reminder to give your furry friends their monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventative! I look forward to this time every month for my chewy “treat.”

On that thought, any treats are welcome my way! 😘
