Our staff members will be taking this extra day off to head over to Woofstock hosted by Humane Society of Carroll County, Inc. !!
We know it is going to be hot but they are prepared for that!

We made some new puppy friends today!
Finn is a King Charles Cavalier, who veryyy much enjoyed his biscuit!
Maddie is a miniature Dachshund at a whole 4 pounds, but don't let that full you shes full of personality!

Dental health is an important part of your pets well being, as dental disease can cause trouble to all the body systems! Routine dental care is just as important for your pets as it is for you!
The first sign for you as a pet owner is going to be that SMELLY BREATH, could you imagine not brushing your teeth for years? Eww yuck! Give us a call or bring up your pets dental health at your next visit, we are happy to help with all the tips and tricks in creating a healthy dental routine at home!

If your pet takes daily medications, call us ASAP if there's a chance you may run out over the holiday! Make sure you have plenty for travel, and please note that we will be CLOSED 12/23/23 and 12/25/23. We will be open until 3:00pm on 12/26/23 and 12/27/23 for you to pick up medications, but there will NOT be a doctor in the building able to approve scripts until 12/28/23. Any requests made after 6:00pm on Thursday 12/21/23 will be unable to be filled until the end of the following week, and we will be closed again 1/1/24, so please plan accordingly. We hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday season!

Please note that we will be closing at 3:00pm today (Wednesday, 11/22/23) and we will be CLOSED all day tomorrow (Thursday, 11/23/23) for Thanksgiving. We will also be opening LATE at 2:00pm the day following (Friday, 11/24/24). CCAE in Westminster will be open from 12pm-12am on Thanksgiving for your emergency needs, but we hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday.

A wonderful week of celebrating our technician team! They play such a vital role, the wheels of the car if you will. If you've ever met our technicians you know how smart, caring and kind they are! Each one of them deserves so much recognition 👏 finished it off with zucchini bread, brownies, lunch catered today and chocolate cake! Happy Veterinary Technician Week !

We are excited to announce the launch of Petdesk at our practice! This system will greatly help us and YOU! All your needs will be right at your finger tips! The official launch is TOMORROW, feel free to go ahead and download the app!
You aren't required to have the app for basic wellness reminders you will receive those via email either way! We do encourage the app as it has so many other great uses!
Make sure to use your email that you have on file with us at the clinic for automatic pet information uploads.

Tonight we set aside the doctor coats and scrubs and got a little dressed up to celebrate the retirement of the one and only Dr. Ellen Colwell. Her dedication to her business, clients and most importantly her patients is something deeply appreciated and will never be forgotten. We will miss her dearly, but we know shes got BIG plans, heres to retirement 🥂 enjoy.

Dear friends,
As we approach the one year mark of the sale of Sykesville Vet Clinic, we have some bittersweet news to share; Dr. Colwell will officially be retiring from the practice on 9/30/23 to embark on her own journey. While we’re excited for her, we’ll miss her and we know many of you will as well. This also means that unfortunately, once she’s gone we will no longer be able to see pocket pets/exotics. Please call or email us for information on other clinics in the area that see pocket pets.
