Come meet our available cats and kittens! We have a bunch of sweet and deserving kitties looking for their forever homes! Cat adoption fees are $50 unless stated otherwise and we do BOGO (buy one get one) since many cats do well with a buddy (applies to same day adoption only). If you’d like to meet any of these sweeties, stop by or call the shelter!
Come meet our available dogs and puppies! We have a lot of dogs that have been here for a very long time that really need to find their forever homes soon! Green kennel cards mean they are ready to go home, but the ones that aren’t ready yet would still love to have visitors.
Please note, this video is meant to be an overview of who we have in the adoptable kennels, not to go into specifics of each one. If you see someone you’re interested in and have specific questions about them, please message the page, call the shelter, or stop by in person to meet them. We also do individual posts for dogs, highlighting their characteristics and what we know about them. In general, we do not know how these dogs are with children, cats, and sometimes other dogs. Adoption fees are $75 but we have several dogs with sponsored adoption fees for the month of September!
Meet Hoka! He’s channeling his inner Lightning McQueen in this video. He is speedy and loves to zoom around the play yard. We would love to find him a home with lots of room to race around! 🏎️
Hoka is a 1 year old neutered male Siberian husky who weighs 43 lbs and has been here for 77 days. He is very sweet and playful and will play fetch, but he doesn’t always return the ball or he may bury it instead. He loves to zoom around the play yard and has a good amount of energy to burn off. He is a little mouthy but does good about not jumping up once in the yards. He can be a little reactive towards dogs through the fence, but will relax once he’s been in the yards for a bit. Meet and greets with other dogs are highly recommended. If you would like to meet Hoka, call the shelter or stop by!
Meet Luke! Luke’s adoption is sponsored by Ward Plumbing, Heating, and Air for the month of August, so come meet him soon!
Luke is a 2.5 year old neutered male who weighs about 65-70 lbs. Luke originally came to us as a stray at the beginning of January and has since been in and out of foster and adoptive homes, but is back at no fault of his own. He has been back now for 59 days. Luke is a good dog but he’s had no consistency in his life, so he’s been stressed with each transition. Luke needs someone who is willing to make a promise to Luke to be his forever home this time and give him time to acclimate to his new environment. It may take him extra time due to his history of being passed around. He is a big sweet goofball who doesn’t know his own size. He’s a happy boy and loves people! We have been working on his sit and leash skills and he’s been doing very well with it! He would still benefit from some basic leash training and obedience, as he does pull on leash and jumps up because he wants you to love on him. He also loves car rides. He’s been in homes with other dogs before, but may be on the selective side, so meet and greets are highly recommended. If you would like to meet Luke, stop by or call the shelter!
Mountain Mutt Manners is offering him free basic training to Luke’s adopter to help him acclimate to his environment and learn basic skills!
Meet Everest! Everest is a 1 year old spayed female terrier mix who weighs 51 lbs and has been here for 168 days. Everest came in as an owner surrender and she was very nervous and unsure about leaving the kennel at first, but now she is much more confident and playful! She can be nervous around new people, so if you come to meet her please be patient with her! We are starting to see her true personality blossom. She is very sweet and still has some puppy behaviors, including being a little mouthy and jumpy when she is excited. She also loves to run around and play with toys. She did well on her trail walk with minimal pulling. She would be best as an only dog in the home. To meet Everest, stop by or call the shelter!
Come meet our available dogs and puppies! We are completely FULL and still have a lot of dogs that have been here for a very long time that really need to find their forever homes soon! Green kennel cards mean they are ready to go home, but the ones that aren’t ready yet would still love to have visitors.

Meet Luke! Luke’s adoption is sponsored by Ward Plumbing, Heating, and Air for the month of August, so come meet him soon! He also wants to remind everyone (dogs, humans, and other animals) to stay hydrated this summer!

Meet Murray! Today is his 134th day at the shelter and we don’t why our goofy boy is still here! Murray is a 3 year old neutered male Labrador Retriever mix. He’s been on a couple of trail walks with some of our volunteers, including one with another dog. He did not pull on the leash and was mainly interested in sniffing around. He was fine walking with Lily (also looking for her forever home) but may prefer dogs that are less playful and do not get in his face or jump on him. Meet and greets are always recommended. He was very scared when he first came in and was not willing to leave his kennel but look at him now! Murray has more confidence now, but may still be timid with new people. He’s become very affectionate and playful! If you would like to meet Murray, stop by or call the shelter!
Here’s a video of Elmo with a volunteer during a trail walk. He is such a sweetheart! He does good on a leash and great with other dogs on trail walks. Please give him a chance outside of his kennel if you come to meet him!
A post a day gets Elmo a home to stay! Day 233. Let’s keep sharing to find Elmo a home!
Meet Elmo!
Age: 2 years and 5 months old
Sex: Neutered Male
Weight: 48 lbs
Personality and Behavior: Elmo is such a sweet dog. He loves people and cuddling. He is also content just gnawing on a chew toy by himself. He is very stressed at the shelter and doesn’t show well in his kennel. If you come to meet him please give him a chance outside of his kennel! He tends to calm down a lot once outside. Like your typical hound, Elmo is very vocal, so apartment living may not be the best fit.
Dogs: He has been fine with most dogs through the fence and has done good on walks with others, but meet and greets are always recommended.
Children: We think he would be fine around children, but he does jump sometimes, so meet and greets are always recommended.
Cats: unknown.
If you would like to meet Elmo, please stop by or call the shelter!
Meet Alana! Alana is a 5 year old female Alaskan Husky mix who weighs 52 lbs. She is spayed and ready to go home! She has been here a little over a week and we are still getting to know her. So far we can tell she is fairly calm, but does get bursts of energy when she gets into the play yards. She knows how to sit and play fetch. She is a sweet girl. We don’t know how she is around other dogs, so meet and greets are highly recommended. For more information or to meet Alana, please call the shelter.
Update: adopted 8/8
Meet Bernie! Bernie is a 3 year old male poodle mix, and weighs 46 lbs. He has been here for 35 days. Bernie is very playful and loves to play fetch (and he returns it)! He knows sit and lay on command. He does jump when he is excited but stops once he has been outside for a little bit. He can be reactive towards some dogs when he first gets out of his kennel, but usually is fine after a few minutes outside. Meet and greets are always recommended. He would do best in a home without young children. If you’d like to meet Bernie, stop by or call the shelter!

Meet Lily! Lily is a 1 year old spayed female hound mix weighing around 65+ lbs and has been here for 132 days. She was adopted from us as a 4-5 month-old puppy but returned in March through no fault of her own. Lily has become a bit stressed at the shelter, and we’re eager for her to find a loving home soon. Lily is a sweet girl but still has some puppy tendencies, including jumping up, which can be corrected. She loves toys and being active. She is strong on the leash and enjoys playing with other dogs on walks. She seems to be housebroken and seems to like other dogs but meet and greets are always recommended. If you have children, meet and greets are also recommended. If you would like to meet Lily, please stop by or call the shelter.
Meet Honey! Honey is a 2.5 year old spayed female who weighs 48 lbs and has been here for 207 days. She came in with her daughter Maple, who was adopted very quickly. Honey is as sweet as her name suggests! She’s very affectionate and loves to play. She was around a big group of young children at our open house event and she did ok, but was a little timid around the kids, so if you have children, please bring them in for a meet and greet. She has done great with other dogs on trail walks, but meet and greets are always recommended. Honey does not show well in the kennel, so please know that if she’s barking at you, it’s because she wants you to take her outside! Please stop by or call the shelter to meet Honey!
Meet Cyrus! Cyrus is a 2 year old neutered male who weighs 56 lbs and came in as a stray 87 days ago but was never reclaimed. Cyrus is a strong boy, he likes to play with toys, he is excited when taking treats but can be gentle, he is curious and likes to sniff around, and he knows “sit”. He is very sweet and affectionate and primarily wants love from his people. Cyrus seems to be dominant and reactive around some dogs but not with others, so we highly recommend meet and greets. He has done well walking with a calm female dog before. Stop by or call the shelter to meet Cyrus!
Come meet our available cats and kittens! We have several sweet and deserving kitties looking for their forever homes! Cat adoption fees are $60 unless stated otherwise and we do BOGO (buy one get one) since many cats do well with a buddy (applies to same day adoption only). If you’d like to meet any of these sweeties, stop by or call the shelter!
