We also do individual posts for dogs, highlighting their characteristics and what we know about them. In general, we do not know how these dogs are with children, cats, and sometimes other dogs. Adoption fees are $75, but we may have some whose adoptions are sponsored through November!

Cat adoption fees are $50 unless stated otherwise and we do BOGO (buy one get one) since many cats do well with a buddy (applies to same day adoption only). We currently have a bunch of cats with lower adoption fees! If you’d like to meet any of these sweeties, stop by or call the shelter!

Meet Everest!
Age: 1.5 years old
Sex: Spayed female
Weight: 46 lbs
Personality and Behavior: Everest is very sweet and playful. She loves to play fetch and run around the play yards. She knows the command sit very well. She does still have some puppy tendencies including being mouthy and jumping up when she’s excited. She can be nervous around new people, but she normally warms up very quickly. She has done well on trail walks with volunteers with minimal pulling.
Dogs: She does fine with dogs through the fence, but has had issues with other dogs in the home in the past. Due to this, Everest would do best as an only dog in the home.
Children: We aren’t sure, but since she jumps, we would recommend bringing your children in for a meet and greet.
Cats: unknown.
