PLEASE HELP : Please Karma Dior needs your help.

My name is Erika Johnson, and I am the owner of Karma Dior LLC. I have been running Karma Dior for 6 years now. I started Karma Dior for my dog Karma. She was the first dog I saved in Syracuse, NY. She was being cared for by a family that neglected her needs badly. She was a wild baby when she came to me, but 6 years later, she is the light of my life. I have trained her, and over the years, rescued several dogs and rehomed them to their forever homes. We were on the news this year for rescuing yet another pup, and we recently rehomed him to his forever home! We offer a space away from home for dogs that need that extra care that other kennels just won’t give them. They lounge on couches all day, run around in our backyard, and make friends that last a lifetime.

I was so passionate about my drive for dogs that when I got offered an opportunity to move into this facility I have been running my business out of, I couldn’t say no. I had so many dogs I was caring for out of a 2-bedroom apartment; a facility just made sense.

Sadly, I was not educated that people do take advantage of you. I ended up signing a horrible contract and have a landlord that thinks he can add more and more bills to my lease illegally, without me actually owning the building, or him doing anything to fix the property when issues arise. Long story short, I am looking for a new place for Karma Dior.

One I can preferably own.

My WHOLE LIFE is dedicated to caring, supporting, rescuing, and loving these animals that depend on me. Please help me continue to make this possible.

I am going to keep this short and sweet.
Please no judgments only solutions. Today is my birthday and this is the LAST thing I want to be doing right now.

I have a slumlord of a landlord. Sadly. I thought this person was here to help me and my business and ended up being mia most of the time, or wanting money. I was not ready to be in the position I was placed in and allowed myself to be in.

I rescued these pups when they were in need and gave them the best life. I wish I would be able to continue this for them. They rely on me for everything . Both Missy and Luna are extremely shy at first but once they know you they are attached to the hip . They are both very sweet with all types of animals. Dogs cats bunnies fish birds you name it . They are both fantastic with children and love my stepdaughter and goddaughter who help at the daycare as well.

My landlord is trying every possible illegal way to evict me at this commercial property . I am in process of taking him to court but that will take a process and my landlord is making it already a tough road ahead. I’d like Luna and Missy to be out this daycare and in a forever home by the end of this week.

They need a safe place to call home. I am currently dealing with having to move and I have 4 dogs and 2 cats I just cannot keep them. If I had a house or a place that accepted them or the money to get a new place I wouldn’t be on here .

I’ve done Soooooooo much for this community of Syracuse and I am not even from here. I’ve rehomed over 20 dogs since living here into forever homes.

I’ve taken in dogs of people in my current situation to try and make it work.

Please help me find Luna and Missy a home. They are mom and daughter but they can be separated if needed. They need a safe place to call home. And it breaks my heart to say Karma Dior is not a reliable place for them to stay anymore . Please anyone .

Please!!!! They are my babies I love them so much and I need to know they are going to be safe and out of the chaos my landlord is trying to bring to my plate.

Hey there everyone. My birthday is coming soon (11/04) and I’ve been out of work due to medical complications. If anyone would be willing to donate to me that would be greatly appreciated.

Things purchased will be things such as supplies for my dogs, a nice dinner and a bit of savings while I am not working. This is no where near mandatory but definitely appreciated! I have had quite a few people telling me to post somewhere people can donate and though each time I put this up I feel uncomfortable doing so, I understand closed mouths don’t get fed either and I do need the help. Hey there everyone just another update.

Being stuck in bed and on crutches is NOT FUN.

I came across 2 bad cases back to back of cellulitis. Ive been on 6 different medications, and have told it is life threatening and need to keep my leg elevated and on crutches(working on getting off these crutches omg I hate themmmm!🥲😂) . It has kept my from what I love to do most and it’s been effecting me in so many ways. I will be back open this weekend and will need help in the following weeks towards holiday season.

I am healing , but I could use some help. I’ve had several supporters come forward asking me to set up a post where I can get help for what I need.

I really don’t like asking , but I’m also aware, you cannot do all on your own.

If anyone is willing to help in anyway you can until I can get back on my feet fully that would be appreciated.

My birthday is 11/04 this year. Anything you can do to help would be amazing .

Things such as :

Weekend help at the daycare cleaning, petting pups, walking dogs,putting up decorations, scrapbooking and marketing especially would be really helpful.

I really could use help passing out flyers for Karma Dior, and spreading the word of the services I offer here. Being bedridden has prevented me from being able to go talk to people, meet new clients, and move forward with plans for the business.

I really could use the help. I’m not one to feel even comfortable asking for help, but again, when push comes to shove, I know I cannot do this on my own.

If anyone is willing to help me and my business grow and help the pups here get good love and care, I would forever be grateful.

I am willing to also trade services. (For example if you can be helpful to this business, we are willing to give discounted daycare days/ grooming services.

Teens are allowed on weekends to volunteer with a certified teacher on staff to direct the kids to do activities that help they stay productive, educated about animals and the workplace, and we supply food and drinks for the kids here as well.

College students looking for experience encouraged to apply .

I really need to get Karma Dior to where I know it can be, and I’m asking for the community to help where they can.

I am turning 27 this year. I don’t know everything , nor can I do everything but I do know a lot and would love to share my knowledge and I’m reaching out hoping I can get any support and knowledge from the community.

Public announcement:

Karma Dior will be closed until further notice. I am on bed rest currently fighting an infection that has limited my ability to walk . I am on crutches . Please pray for me and thank you for your understanding.

We are only accepting boarding clients. Grooming and Daycare will be postponed until further notice . Thanks 🙂
