I was on a roll posting about our collection, but this weekend put me on pause. Saturday, Serenity laid 8 beautiful eggs. We got them out and candled them, but only 3 had veins. By Monday, those veins were gone.
We are still incubating them, but I honestly don't have any hope. I know these things happen, but it has been heartbreaking. We had great luck last year in only losing 1 baby, so it's just new for us.
I will continue the posting of our collection soon.

Day 7 - Thunder
When we first got Thunder, we were told he had been on a hunger strike for over 3 months. This guy has never missed a meal with us, lol. He was the sire to our beautiful het hypo clutch last year (added a couple to this post)
He is black pewter hypo.

Day 6 - Serenity
Serenity we got as a proven breeder and she has been excellent for us. She is a superfly, and the momma to our het clown babies last year with Pennywise. Just caught her laying her second clutch with us, this time with Thunder as the sire (he will be tomorrow's post). We are so excited. This is our 3rd clutch ever and likely our only clutch this year.

Day 5 - BUTTERS
Butters is a butter pastel and he is the friendliest snake we own. He is always looking to come out and hang. Unfortunately, he hates rats so he has been a bit of a slow grower on mice only. This guy is almost 4' and over 1000 grams, so he is definitely not lacking.

Day 4 - Next we have Foster. He is a banana, cinnamon, pinstripe. He has had a few issues growing up, but we were able to get him treated and healthy. Now, he is just waiting for the right girl.

Day 3 - Storm
We got Mocha and Storm the same day from Reptileant LLC. She is a beautiful Black Pewter, Yellow Belly, Het Hypo. This girl loves to come out and venture, or just sit and watch TV with us.
We are so excited to start pairing her early next year.

Day 2 of introducing our collection. Miss Mocha! Pastel, Chocolate, GHI, and she is still a stunner. Mocha will be ready to breed early next year and we can't wait to see what she produces!

I am going to start an introductory series of our collection. We treat all of our animals as pets, not just breeders. Our babies are handled often from their first shed until you take them home. They make an excellent addition to any family.

With that, I bring you our first ball python - Pennywise, the killer clown. He is 4 years old and was the father to our very first clutch last year. He is my (Jodie) first snake, and we had lots of bonding time getting used to each other.

This is why we always recommend a thermostat. Heat mats and Heat tape can get very hot, very fast, and burn or kill your animal. Investing in a good thermostat is always a good idea.
Along with that, a infrared gun is another good tool. Check the warm spot regularly to ensure your thermostat is functioning properly.

Pennywise is our very first ball python. When we first got him, I was as scared of him as he was me.

Fast forward 2.5 years... and my ponytail is his favorite place to hang out.
