Local event - Therapy Dogs 101

From Holly & Mark Bossert:
"Honoring the recent passing of our son Jeremy, we started a fund at Upstate University Hospital called JBoss Puppy Power, in order to promote and increase the dog therapy program. Jeremy absolutely loved dogs, and benefitted by a therapy dog visit once during his long hospital stay. The dog therapy program is severely limited due to the small number of trained dogs and handlers, so hopefully our fund will help that program to grow."

Gussie and Alyssa wanted to share that all the cool cats board at Dewitt Animal Hospital, New York 😎

Gussie has been boarding with us since 2017. He is very vocal and loves to be pet, he even rolls over and wants belly rubs. Just look at this face, we can't help but oblige! We love our quality Gussie time!

Call/text to check in STAYS THE SAME! Staff will bring you and your pet in for your appointment, or you can choose to remain curbside.

Technician appointments (a**l sac expressions, nail trims, labwork),
pre-surgical exams, suture removals, and re-check appointments
will remain curbside.

This modified curbside is in place to ensure the health of our doctor and staff.
Ask us about the many benefits staying curbside has for you and your pet.

Our guinea pig friends Cookie Dough and Blondie are going home today ☹️

Pain is classified in two categories: acute and chronic pain. Acute pain has a biological purpose and may resolve on its own. Pain from an injury is an example of acute pain and can be described in terms of severity.

On the other hand, chronic pain is pain that has persisted beyond normal tissue healing time, does not have a clear end point, and/or is caused by conditions that have not healed. Chronic pain can result from conditions like osteoarthritis (OA), periodontal (gum) disease, cancer or tumors, and diseases that cause chronic inflammation.

Winston loves that his playtime during boarding is indoors and out of the rain! ☔

At check in I was told this is the longest time Winston has been away from his Mom since he was rescued two years ago. Thank you for choosing DAH ❤️

Winston will enjoy a bath and nail trim while boarding with us, in addition to playtimes everyday!
