Happy Fri-Dayyy from this adorable 🐶 Vince!!!

Vince is looking for his forever family ❤️

He is a 4 year old pitbull mix who was found running in the Town of Salina. He’s a very happy, energetic boy with the cutest ears we’ve ever seen! He’s currently working on learning some basic manners, so we recommend a home with children 5 and older as he may knock them over!

Happy Forever Family Friday! This week’s pupdate comes from Kate, who adopted Darwin, formerly Herb! Kate wrote in to say:

“I adopted "Herb" (now Darwin) about a month ago and wanted to let you know he has been an amazing addition to my life. He has become an absolute cuddle bug who loves to play with crinkle toys. He's very smart and praise motivated, which is making basic obedience training easy and fun for both of us. He's been a joy.”

We are so happy to hear that Darwin is adjusting so well into his new FurEver Family! Thank YOU for giving Darwin the second chance! We love getting a Happy Tail update! Everyone here at the CNY SPCA, is beyond greatful for what you have done! We wish you and Darwin all the best!

Just look at this happy and gorgeous pup 🐶 Miller!!! For you, Boxer lovers, Miller is your dog!

Miller is a two and half year old boxer mix who originally came to the shelter as a stray. He was adopted for a while, but his new owner had a change of lifestyle, and his new life didn't include a dog.

Miller is a very friendly 🐶 who's usually the first dog new dog walkers take out. He enjoys attention and activity. He is doing great with his basic training! Miller is very trainable and eager to learn. He would thrive as the only pet in an active home. He would also do best with older kids. If you've got the time, we've got Miller here!

Congratulations to our volunteer of the week, John! John comes in faithfully Monday-Thursday to walk his "gang" of dogs and teach them their commands so they are well behaved for their new family members! He also sometimes helps out with bringing dogs to events!

Happy New Year! Looking back on 2023 Matched Up Monday pictures we can't help but wonder WHY these 4 dogs are still here 🥹
In just 2 short months it will be a whole YEAR! that Birch has been waiting for his turn at a home!
Ted, Heath & Nestle have all been with us since May 😞
While the animals are safe, fed & warm in our care, it's no way for animal to spend their days, they need a home of their own, a family to love 💕

It's our favorite day of the week! Forever Family Friday!!
This week's pupdate comes from recently adopted Josh, now known as Gunner & his mom 💚

Hello!
I wanted to give you guys a little update on Josh! (Gunner name change lol)

I am truly blessed. He is the most amazing dog I have ever had. I did not adopt him he adopted me. He loves long walks outside rain or shine. He smiles non stop. He is extremely well behaved with other dogs. At daycare he interacts with all the other pups. He loves sleeping on my bed and couch.

I can’t thank you guys enough through the whole process. Everyone was very kind and helpful. I have wanted a dog for a very long time. I was waiting for the right time in my life. He truly is a blessing!

-We are so happy to hear this wonderful news! Thank you for adopting Gunner & giving him the life he deserves 🐾🐶🐾

Where are our Bull Terrier fans at?! Harry is a 2 year old Bull Terrier Mix who came to us way back in August as a stray from the Town of Dewitt. He is a very very sweet and smart young man! He loves to learn and he is in our doggy playgroup so he would love a brother or sister to play with! He would be great with children of any age!

Meet Mimi, a delightful 1-year-old cat whose sweetness is matched only by her playful spirit. Mimi loves engaging in playful antics and chasing toys with enthusiasm. She has been living in our open can room and would do well in a home with another cat.

Congratulations to our volunteer of the week, Gerri! Gerri takes wonderful care of our cats while they wait for their forever homes, she socializes them & takes care of our feral/working cats! She helps in the garage when needed and she has given 2 of our cats their forever home 🤍.

Happy FurEver Family Friday! This weeks update comes from John who adopted Hannah, formerly Everything Bagel Beagle! John wrote in to say,

“We adopted EBB on November 18th.
Her name is Hannah now. Her appetite is good. We give her homemade chicken with rice and green beans. She is adjusting well to our home and neighborhood. She continues to be very sweet and friendly. She is even barking now, protecting us when people enter our house. We couldn't be happier.

Hi John! We are so happy to hear that Hannah is adjusting so well into her new FurEver Family! Happy Friyay from Nigel!

Nigel is a 3 year old, Pitbull mix. He came to our shelter as a stray. Nigel weighs in at about 45 lbs of pure love and is looking for his FurEver Family this Holiday Season!

Nigel loves to play, especially with ropes and balls, and he’s an incredibly smart boy. He’s very trainable and the star of the shelter tricks class! Nigel rides great in the car, loves all the attention and affection you can offer and would make the perfect addition to any active family! He is very friendly, and loves a good treat!

Scooby is an adorable Boxer mix who was found running in the Town of Lafayette. He is a CRAZY young man with LOTS of energy to burn! 😍
But he is very funny and would provide a lot of entertainment for his new family. He would be great in a home with children 8 and older (so he doesn't knock them over) 😀

Is it purr-sible to be as sweet as Cookie? Apparently, yes! Cookie is a lovable 11-month-old gray kitten with a heart as sweet as her name. She is a gentle, loving cat who enjoys being pet. Although shy initially, Cookie's true colors shine through with a patient approach. Bringing Cookie home means you've got the purr-fect recipe for a happy family!

Sweet Dill 🥒 was brought to us from the Town of Salina, he was shy, terrified, had super long nails & was very skinny 😧.. with a little love and patience from our staff and volunteers he has blossomed into a wonderful young man 🤍 he recently met another dog and just wanted to play, play, play!
