Okay, here is the official post- we are just shy of a month away from our big event, Paws and Reflect 4! The newsletter just went out, OnlyBeans has been posted, and now for the big stuff!

We'll be sending out messages and emails to past vendors and donors for those who would like to participate again this year, we already have several interested including our favorite local bookstore, Golden Bee Bookshop, our metaphysical expert, Ursa Animal Reiki, and new faces with info to come!

Of course it wouldn't be complete without Oswego County SPCA - OCAWL bringing some bonus friends to visit! We are taking over the CNY Regional Market Commons building where the Mediterranean cafe used to be!

This is a bit of a last minute prep, but hopefully we get a great turnout like our past three years!

Lots of double adoptions, which makes this all the more exciting, we’re at 19 adoptions for the month, and 84 for the year! It would be way cool to get 16 more adoptions by our anniversary, but we aren’t here to push adoptions, just to help cats as the Cat Distribution System takes the wheel.
Thank you as always to everyone who has come to visit our residents during their transition to their forever homes, as socialization is always a huge benefactor!
This of course also means we have a bunch of new residents, so even if you’re not looking to adopt, come say hello! You can never make too many cat friends!

Happy everyone! We got a few spots for BEAN-Go! left tonight! Three of these four babies are included in your visit (Whisp- the white and grey- is still in foster but may come back Sunday) along with 12 other residents who will likely get in the way and knock over someone's bingo chips.
Sunday we are holding our next Kitten Romper Room from 12-3! Spots are available to book for 30 minute slots and are listed under "Special Events" on our booking page. We might have some goofy orange babies, including a blind boi, to meet this time!
Sunday night we also have Mewvie Night and will be showing "The Aristocats"! A cookie and small drink is included, plus time in the lounge!

Time for the August ! We're gonna keep it short for this one since we got some out-of-store experiences to prep for, plus our annual silent auction anniversary!
Our calendar of events is up, events are bookable! Going forward, if there are no sign-ups for an event at open the day of the event, we will pull the event.
This Sunday 8.11 we are having another Kitten Romper Room event from 12-3! This event is bookable in 30 minute time slots! You can book through our "Special Events" on the booking site!
We will still be open, but the weekend of the 17 &18 we'll be up north in Clayton NY for AnchorCon! We love being part of a good comic-con, so we're excited to attend! Mr Freddie Purrcury will be with us to meet and greet con-goers! We're working on some cool cat beds and scratchers for this weekend!
Forms are up on the website for our anniversary event Paws and Reflect 4! We are looking for vendors to hang with us for the afternoon! We'll be reaching out for donors for auction items as well! It's September 22, we have had 10+ vendors and over 50 items to bid on in the past! We've raised over $6k to give back to our rescues over the past three years! This is our THANK YOU to our partner rescues for all they do- we couldn't be a cat cafe without them!
We got a few "berry" sweet concoctions in the cafe this month, so be sure to come try some!

Welcome back for our second installment of in the last couple months post! This one is actually pretty intense on all sides, so here we go.
If you didn't see our post about two weeks ago, our longer-term resident, Keanu, was on her way to her forever home after her dental surgery that we had fundraised for. We got the picture, she went to her appointment, and unfortunately it turned out she had a large bone tumor that was breaking down her hard palate. There was nothing that could be done to repair it, so everyone- our rescue, us, her new humans, made the incredibly hard decision to let her go. We are all holding on to the thought that she was so loved before she left us all.
As a very special mention, Keanu was adoption #356💜
Following up with some better news, we had several multi-adoptions in a row later in July- Toast and Bagel, Fawn and Meadow, and a triple adoption including Mama Citrine, Charles and Dandelion during our kitten romper room this past Sunday!

For those who don't remember, Citrine was quite literally tossed into our cafe and abandoned at the end of March, was very pregnant, and ended up having nine babies. She definitely won the lottery of humans!

CLOSING 3PM TUESDAY 7.23
Another day. Another heartbreak. You left us too soon. You were literally days away from your forever home. Cancer sucks.
Teeth were only the beginning of the issue. Keanu had an underlying bome tumor that not only destroyed some teeth, but had extended into her hard palate, and created a hole in the roof of her mouth that was not repairable, and likely caused aspiration.
Today, that was supposed to be a win, turned into a loss.
On the other side, at least Keanu left knowing she was loved by many. She gets to be reunited with her original human who passed from lung cancer. She will get to meet Maurice, Sherman, and all of our other friends at the Rainbow Bridge.
Please send some good vibes. This one was tough. Her future humans are also devastated. She had so many purrs this morning.
Thank you to everyone who visited, donated, and shared over the last few weeks.

Happy everyone! Quick note- BEAN-GO tonight is SOLD OUT, and Paint Night is almost sold out! We've been working hard all week to get ready for our Summerween party this coming Sunday! The timing couldn't be more perfect considering we have SEVEN resident black cats! David Meowie and Aubrey stay with us, Harry is going home next week, Mama Lola has been making her presence known, Moonlight may be elusive, but she's been getting more comfortable with us, and our newest void-squad members, Toast and Bagel, are ready for cuddles! Honorable mention to our tuxedo residents Cavatappi, Elmer, Junebug, and Pongo (Kiwi and Apple are going home Saturday so they will be celebrating Summerween in spirit)!
Sunday afternoon we will be showing "Little Shop of Horrors" for Mewvie Night and have plenty of availability!
Our special menu will be available all day Sunday, but be sure to drop in early since there are limited quantities available! (For those who don't know, we bake small batches!)
As always, weekends are unpredictable with no school, so BOOK YOUR VISITS ONLINE TO GUARANTEE YOUR SPOT, ESPECIALLY GROUPS OF FOUR OR MORE! Oh, and don't forget to bring your socks!

On a more fun note, did you know that FIVE YEARS AGO we made our public debut at Salt City Comic-con? It was our first ever big event, i even got to meet Dark Helmet (and properly saluted them). It sucks that covid ruined the con coming back, so we’ve been looking elsewhere.

Happy everyone! Just a friendly reminder with summer being in full swing that we are a space. If you're wearing your flippy floppies, be sure to bring some socks on the side! If you forget, we do have some available for purchase in the cafe!
We are also a CALM, RELAXED SPACE. Kids 5 and up are welcome (12 and under require an adult to go in with them) as long as they are well behaved and can follow our rules.
We cap the cat lounge at about 8 persons, so if you are planning to visit with a group of 4 or more, WE STRONGLY ENCOURAGE YOU TO BOOK YOUR VISIT to guarantee your space.
We have included a link to our for our fb friends for Keanu and Syrup's dental fundraiser. The two links at the top of that page go to either our paypal (please make a note your donation is for Keanu and Syrup) or our Oswego County SPCA fundraiser page on ig.
You've almost covered the minimum for Keanu's surgery! If the fundraiser hits $1k, I'll give out some free passes/gift shop bits for those who donated!

if youre still reading.....for what its worth, we have not had any incidents to prompt this post, though on a Monday, one of my part timers who was cleaning said a couple cars containing a group of 14 humans were yanking the door. two adults. kids ages from infant to about 8 years.🙃😧

Happy everyone! Stay safe and keep your pets safe! If you are near a place where there will be fireworks, make sure your pets are secure indoors and have a quiet space (maybe some lofi tunes to cover any noise).
Too many pets get spooked and go missing during holidays. Some are even injured, or worse.

happy everyone! In case you missed it, COAT Play and Yoga got rescheduled for TOMORROW due to the heat! We also adjusted yoga to 6pm, so goat time will go from 3-7pm! the 5pm hour is almost booked, but we still have openings for 3 and 4pm, and yoga is wide open! (We just adjusted the yoga price, and please note REGULAR cat yoga is THIS Sunday at 9:45a!)
The newsletter went out yesterday, I just added the events to the calendar so they should be available to book! We'll do a proper post on that soon!
In the meantime, come say hello to our 16 residents!

Yall, this is like Salvador Dalí’s “Persistence of Memory” up in here. We’re closing at 5 today. The commons building a/c is having a sad time. We have a couple fans to try and help, but everyone is mostly sleepy. Spoiled on wet food and sleepy.

Its here! Our art contest 2024 t-shirts have arrived! When we challenged everyone to show us the 90’s but with cats, you crushed it! We have unisex sizes s-3xl in stock, and they are $23 each!
Our runners up also got their art printed on stickers that are available for $2 each! The last two stickers are from ohr part timer, Meg! You can see more of her work at .ech.ism !
We’ll have all this and more available at CNY Pride this saturday at the syracuse inner harbor! Plus, we’ll have some samples of some of our iced teas available for $1!
A reminder that we will be open until 2 on saturday as well so our staff can enjoy the festival- if you couldn’t tell, we’re all either allies or some flavor of gay! Book now to guarantee your visits!

Hi friends! We interrupt your cat feed with a goat. Cats + goats = COATS. It is WAY too hot for coats this week. While our ac is crankin in the market commons, subjecting our goat friends to a 45 minute ride in this weather is not a fun time for them, or anyone, really. We’ll be reaching out to those who signed up to determine if you’d like to stay on the books for the reschedule (Thur June 27) or if youd like a refund.
For everyone else, there are still spots available, it will now just be 6.27 instead!
Please watch our social media the next few days anyway- we’ll try to keep things interesting, but the books are quiet and we may close early.

Good evening friends! We hope youre having a great week so far! David Meowie wanted to deliver some special news- our art contest t-shirt order just went out and should be here next week, and our runner up contest winners stickers have arrived! We also have two bonus designs from one of our part timers for (that will be available til we sell out, obviously!)
The prints came out super awesome! We have 100 of each to sell (and have some set aside for our winners to give!)
We’ll be adjusting the price for all of our 3” stickers from $3 each to $2, and will be running a “2 for $3” promo indefinitely 😃
Come grab em while you can! These four will be the only run printed!
Plus, stopping in means you get to visit Mr Meowie and friends. Someone new will get the pride sweater tomorrow. 🌈
Paint night tomorrow, but if noone signs up by friday open, we’re gonna close it!

Surprise! It's officially here- the June ! We appreciate your patience as we get continuously distracted by all things shiny and everything on the way. This coming weekend, we're hosting Wayward Paws, Inc. and Oswego County SPCA - OCAWL for a Kitty Cabana meet and greet with all new adoptable cats and kittens from their foster networks! Kitten season has been non-stop, so if you are potentially in the market for a new addition to your family, apply online NOW for pre-approval and then come say hello THIS SATURDAY! They'll be here from 12-4pm!
Surprise again- on Thursday 6.20 our friends at The Inconvenient Kitten and Pennymix Farm is bringing the goats! We'll start the afternoon with a session of COAT Yoga from 2-3pm, we'll have general admission for COAT Play from 3-5pm, and as a bonus, the cats and goats will present their guides for tarot readings from 5-6pm! Space is limited and will usually sell out, so book now!
Saturday mornings, for the summer, we're serving up scratch-made, vegan friendly waffles from 10a-12p! They may be little, but they pack a punch! Made to order so theyre hot and fresh!
Saturday 6.22 we will be CLOSING EARLY- we'll be open 10a-2p- so our staff can visit CNY Pride ! We will have a booth there all day! Visit our residents in the morning, then visit the Inner Harbor to celebrate diversity and love!
We hope to see you all in the coming weeks! We know we're still in finals/graduation season, but we're here if you need a break from the mundane or just need some extra love. Take care of yourselves!

Happy Memorial Day Weekend! We're asking you to PLEASE BOOK YOUR VISITS THIS WEEKEND! We are expecting a very high volume of visits, so walk-ins may not be available at all! In addition to that, we have some private bookings from 3pm to 6pm on Saturday, so availability will also be extremely limited! We will still be open for drinks and treats, and Anime Club is still happening at 6pm though! If you do not book your spot, and we are full, better luck next time!

Aside from a mini get away, we also work with local shelters to find forever homes for our resident cats!
