We got a handful of new gift shop items waiting including a wine stopper, tea steeper, a cat butt mug, and a crazy cat lady stacking game! We are also offering red velvet cake hot chocolate until its gone! And yes, we remembered the cream cheese frosting (made with cream cheese so its everyone-friendly!) Yall, if you love red velvet, come and get it. This is AWESOME.

We are offering a last minute gift shop sale! Come in this week to check out our unique items from local crafters and businesses, shop small and support our little shop so we can get our rent to the office (we just had quarterly taxes so our bank acct is a bit sad).

A brief intermission before we share the second part of our adoption announcements: a huge THANK YOU to our local drag queens and king, Aria Vee , and Chance Witherheart for hosting a fabulous brunch this past Sunday! We were SOLD OUT! (Minus two spots!)
Yall always put on a great show, have lots of fun with our visitors and residents! We think Freddie had a great time passing out dollar bills to everyone! DJ Truman Capote may have been a bit grumpy, but he showed up for the job, and that was the important part (and he got SO BIG)! Syrup wanted to be a part of things all day, she played, danced and passed out tips (and kisses) like nobody's business!
Maybe we plan another for the upcoming spring/early summer? Like, before Pride just to keep things easy-ish!
Don't forget tonight we have BEAN-Go!, Paint n Play Saturday night, and the return of Kitten Romper Room on Sunday! (we were having technical difficulties early in the week so info for that will be in our stories!) Our online gift shop has been updated and we will ship what we have available! We hope to have some holiday gift bundles available as well! We're basically running two businesses, we're trying! Hope to see you all soon! Come say hello!

So we had a bit of a mixup with numbers when I went away for a week in October, hence why we ended up with 404 a and b (kind of the opposite of ERROR 404: PAGE NOT FOUND), but either way, we've sailed past 100 adoptions for the year and have even surpassed last year's adoptions!
Thank you as always to everyone who has come to visit our residents during their transition to their forever homes. It's a happy day when we see them off and prepare for the new arrivals

We got four tickets for 1:30 brunch, im putting everything into this and quite literally my brain feels like mush after this week. Sell us out tomorrow. Make it easier for me to pay my part timers for their help. Youll get some great food. Trust me. I tried it. And made it. I love breakfast.

You guys, the thing about the age change was probably the most interacted-with post ever (500 likes on instagram!? Heck) and i am incredibly floored at how positive the response was. Just. Thank you. I was actually very nervous to go this direction.
Please enjoy some toe beans and some kitties from my visit to on tuesday.
We got four tickets left for brunch on sunday at 1:30! Grab em up, we’re working hard on puttinng all this food together💜
Then, maybe ill sleep when im dead. I will come in and do a dead drop and then not get up. There might be confetti.

Happy ! We're less than a week away from our HissMess Drag Brunch! We currently have 3 tickets left for 11am and 8 left for 1:30pm! Each session is 90 minutes long and includes up to a four-course brunch (depending on your dietary restrictions) and a special drink to enjoy! Plus, there will be a lot of cats.
Hosted by Aria Vee, come say hello for a fun show featuring local talent Chance Wither and Rhea Listic, and special guest, Truman Capote (Truman is a cat! He was from the graveyard tote rescue!) This crew is always ready to entertain!
Check out our menu! We make everything in house and provide vegan and gluten-free options! (when you make it from scratch, it's way better than store bought and delicious all the way around!)
Drinks are red velvet hot chocolate with cream cheese whipped cream or a HissMess mimosa (orange juice with cranberry and sparkling grape juice)
We'll be plating up French toast casserole made with GF bread from a local bakery and JUSTegg substitute, cannoli crepes with a sweet mascarpone, orange zest, and chocolate chip filling, basil pesto cheesy trees with a house-made vegan puff pastry, and breakfast sliders on house-made vegan biscuits with bac'n, cheese and JUSTegg!
We love serving up breakfast, especially when you need to warm up and get cozy!
Tickets are limited, as we are only offering two sessions, so grab 'em while they're available! $32/person will get you the 90 minute show, cats, your choice of special drinks, and the whole menu!

IMPORTANT ANNOUNCEMENT
There's always that one guy who ruins it for everyone, and we've finally reached a tipping point.
Beginning January 1st, 2025, we are RAISING the age limit for visitors to 10 AND UP in the cat lounge.
We know this is not the best news, but in the interest of providing the best environment for our resident felines, it is something we will be moving forward with to protect them.
(We will post in the comments the blurb from our December newsletter.)
Long story short, not only have a few of our younger visitors not been following the rules, but the adults to them have not been actively supervising. It is both frustrating and saddening.
BUT. For those who have been to the cafe previously with kids under 10 (but still over 5), we have a work-around for you!
We have begun passing out new cards for the Cool Kittens Club who have shown that they are excellent with the practice of Cat Consent, are great listeners, and demonstrate proper behavior in the lounge. It is quite literally a pass for an exception to the rule! Please be advised that if things change, we can and will revoke the pass, but we're pretty sure noone wants that.
We know not all kids are in this boat, and we will continue to assess situations case by case. We hope you can understand where we are coming from. Again, if you have been in before, please stop by or send us a message!

If comments start getting nasty, we will turn them off.

Its o’clock, its the final countdown of 2024! Time for a little to get things started!
In ONE WEEK we’ll be throwing a little thing called HissMess Drag Brunch! There are 13 spots left, its this coming sunday! Hosted by with costars and , these folks never disappoint! Plus, a bonus guest- Truman Capote- will be hanging with the residents! Truman was rescued from the graveyard tote situation along with 15 other cats and kittens!
We have an awesome menu planned with vegan and gf options too! Turn off the world for a bit, pet some cats, and get
We’ll be closed on Christmas Day (a wednesday) and open on New Years Eve (a tuesday), and on New Years Day, we’ll be having our fifth Chakai to Neko tea ceremony! Come celebrate and put forth some good intentions for the year with cats, ceremonial grade match, and a house made strawberry mochi to enjoy!
Our Monthly Passes will be here soon! If you or someone you know is a furrequent visitor, we are taking pre-orders for these and will either send them out or notify their arrival for pickup!

Good morning all you majestic beings! Happy ! Its time to wake up from your food coma and show the world its time to !
Okay, maybe that was a little energetic for us. But. Freddie is adorable when he sleeps, isnt he? Today is booking up so be sure to plan ahead when considering a visit, ESPECIALLY GROUPS OF 4 OR MORE. PLEASE. Do us the favor and BOOK AHEAD. ❤️
We finally did the thing! Introducing Specialty Passes for all our furrequent visitors! There are two options: the Unlimited Scritches which allows the cardholder to visit as much as theyd like in a month, and the HissPress Pass, which is a prepaid 6 or 12 visit savings pass for the cardholder to use anytime within a year. Details are up on the website! These can be pre-ordered as the physical cards should arrive by Dec 10th-ish!
Lastly, be sure to grab your tickets for the Syracuse Wine and Chocolate festival tomorrow! We’ll still be open, but we have a booth with some special treats (Caramel Pretzel Whisky Fudge and Merlot Marshmallows) and our debut item, Frenético Verde- cat “wine”! Its not really wine, theres no alcohol, but its fun to say, “I think I’ll stay home because my cat and I are going to drink wine tonight,” and watch the world wonder about a cat getting blitzed. Its fancy catnip tea. Check out the website for more info!

We got 16 residents to hang with! Theres also paint night friday, trivia saturday, and yoga sunday! Kitten Romper Room will also be back sunday from 12-3! We booked out this past weekend and were turning people away, so make sure you book ahead, especially parties of 4 or more!

They're back! For the next TWO Sundays we'll be hosting Wayward Paws (11.10) and Oswego SPCA (11.17) for Kitten Romper Room! From 12-3p, we will be doing 30-minute visits that are bookable, for ages 10 and up, with 25+ cats and kittens in the lounge!
This is something we all need right now...Grab your spots before they're gone!

For what it's worth, Monday 11.11 is also National Singles Day, and last year we had a cat-speed-dating event because cats are better than people! Just saying...

If you are interested in adopting, you can fill out your applications ahead of time for approval, so when you come in, you can potentially bring home a new friend that day! Check our link-in-bio or website for direct links to applications!
