Einstein is almost 15 years old and his feline housemate, Bella, just turned 18 years old! As they age, they have both been experiencing osteoarthritis, which is inflammation of their joints. Together, they make monthly visits to SVH for their Solensia (cats) and Librela (dogs) injections to help control their OA pain. Einstein & Bella have both been responding well to their monthly treatments for OA, with their overall comfort and mobility noticeably improved.

With routine once monthly injections, Solensia & Librela may provide an effective treatment designed for long-term OA pain management by slowing the progression of the disease, decreasing pain, improving mobility, as well as improving your pet's overall quality of life.
Be sure to check with your veterinarian to see if Solensia or Librela may be right for your pet!

Your cat may become more comfortable with the carrier before the checkup by leaving it in a room where they often spend time. This process may take some time, so be patient. By doing so, it will be easier to get your cat into the carrier when it's time for the appointment.

Planning on traveling to Canada with your dog?
If you plan on returning back, You're going to want to read this update!
The requirements for travel from United States to Canada and back HAVE CHANGED!
Starting AUGUST 1ST, 2024:
*Dog must have an up to date Rabies Vaccine
*CDC import form must be created for each dog traveling (to be completed by the owner)
*Dog must be AT LEAST 6 months of age
*Dog must be microchipped
*Dog must be healthy

The form is valid for six months and multiple entries into the U.S., as long as the country of departure remains the same.

Meet Luna (white bulldog) and her sister Cocoa!

Luna has been seeing Susie, our rehabilitation practitioner for about eight months.
She had unfortunately torn both of her cruciate ligaments, which resulted in multiple surgeries to correct this. Luna had her first surgery in October 2023, and her second was February 2024. She has made excellent progress with all of her post-op rehabilitation and her overall recovery has gone exceptionally well.

Luna is a very special pup who has been such a pleasure to work with. We wish her, Cocoa, and their human family all the best!! 🤍🤎
