Nephew would like to remind everyone that his mommy needs a break every now and then. Grit City Kitty will be closed January 31-February 9 for some much needed R & R.

I will still be reachable but response times will vary. Thank you all for keeping me busy enough to need a break! And thank you for understanding and being patient with me 😻

Happy 2025 friends! 2024 was my third year creating a life that brings me joy and purpose with Grit City Kitty!

186 different kitties stayed in my home-based hotel and most of them were repeat visitors.

I cared for 127 kitties in their own homes, and most of them are repeat clients as well!

Also in my 2024 rotation was 1 dog, 1 bunny, 1 hedgehog, and 9 chickens!

In my personal life, my resident cat family grew by two with the addition of Streets and Nephew.

Pictured here are the animals I spent the most time with in 2024. Luna, Yuri & Mav, Khaleesi, Murphy, Bagheera, Maple, Hank, Dennis, Varley, Daisy, and Sybil.

Going through my 2024 calendar to tally everything up, I could picture in my mind each and every kitty and their human(s). I cherish the connections I’ve made with my community through cats and am looking forward to growing, learning, and loving with you all in 2025.

Stay tuned for some exciting changes in the next few weeks. I will keep you all posted!

My sweet friend Ziggy would like to announce my 2025 closure dates. He knows that many of my clients like to plan around my time off, which I find incredibly sweet, and reinforces my philosophy that it takes a village to care for all of Tacoma’s kitty angels.

January 31-February 11, 2025
May 14-21, 2025
August 7-12, 2025
October 2-8, 2025

Unlike this year, I will be open for Independence Day next year, but please keep in mind that my neighborhood goes OFF with fireworks. For kitties in a strange environment, this can be very scary. While holiday rates will be in effect, there will be no additional charge for doctor prescribed & owner provided sedative medication administration.

September and October are almost full with a few spots left here and there. Thanksgiving weekend is almost full, as well as Christmas. Make your reservations now!

July boarding is fully booked but I still have some availability for pet sitting and August is filling in quickly. Remember to book Grit City Kitty as soon as possible

Dennis thinks it’s absurd that I work seven days a week and says I need to take vacations. It is unwise to argue with Dennis, so here are my closure dates for the rest of the year:

June 29-July 7
August 8-12
October 4-8
December 15-18

January 30-February 9, 2025

I am fully booked for Memorial Day weekend, and a few weekends throughout the summer. I also need to close my June pet sitting schedule to NEW clients. Remember to book your kitty care as soon as possible! Thank you so much to all my kitty clients and their families for making my dream of caring for cats (and bearded dragons, bunnies, doggos, birds, fish, chickens, goats, and hamsters) full time a reality!

A Good Samaritan found this sweet girl on their porch in the Lincoln District Saturday evening. She is in heat and probably escaped her family’s home. If anyone recognizes this sweet lady please let me know! I’d love to reunite her with her family.
