Leash The Dog Services

Hello everyone!

As you all know, we merged the Muttropolitan a hot minute ago and now we operate as Leash the Muttro Pups. And while we've been very slow about combining all of the things, we are making the official plunge with our socials.
I won't lie, we've been really terrible about our social media but there is a plan to be better. There are a lot of things hopefully happening at the beginning. (Including bringing on Kendra of )

The point to this post is to say this social - Leashthedog - will no longer be active. And to help you find us at our new home

We are all very excited about the growth we've had over the last six years and can't wait for what's to come!

Dyna has been consistently with me through leash the dog services and through our merge to leash the Muttro Pups. As you can see in that first picture, September 2019. Five years.

Everyday, twice a day for five years. She was the perfect combination of sweet and spicy.

I'm glad I got to be there with her and her mom and take her for one last walk. It is absolutely the hardest part of this job, but it means so much to be a part of their lives, even to the end.

Gonna miss you Dyna.

Could not have said this better.

you could save your dog’s life by loving them.

but not in the way you think.

of course, i want you to show your dog affection, and care, and kindness.

i also want you to put your own feelings aside and do what’s best for your dog.

that means crating them, even if you have a complex about crate training.

that means leaving your dog at home when you go to the bar or to target (not dog friendly anyway, by the way), or to starbucks. because your dog has told you time and time again that they are uncomfortable in public spaces like this.

that means refusing to allow your friends and family to interact with your dog when they come over because the dog doesn’t want to be bothered.

that means stop allowing off leash freedom when your dog can’t be trusted to recall when asked.

that means stop allowing strange dogs and people to interact with your dog.

that means teaching your dog that actions have consequences, good and bad.

that means implementing boundaries, rules, and structure within your house.

stop infantilizing your dog.

stop forcing your dog into situations where they are clearly uncomfortable.

stop allowing your emotions to interfere with your dog living their best life.

accept the dog you have.

grieve the dog you wanted.

move on and act accordingly.

your dog will thank you for it.
