Our Story

Cheri's Country Canines is a licensed breeder in rural Pierce County Washington owned by father and son Matt and Zach Ouellette. Our operation was named in honor of our resident dog and animal whisper Cheri. Cheri has been raising animals all her life and raising goldens since 2015. Cheri's Country Canines was made possible by Coulee Country Kennels who gifted Cheri her service dog Obie, and by Matt and Zach who established the business to create a purpose for Cheri and Obie. We strive to create animals capable of changing your lives the way Obie inspired ours, focusing on temperament and train-ability. Our dogs are raised on a farm with cows, goats, cats, and chickens with fields to run through and a creek to play in. We have five generations in our family so all of our dogs are loved by infants, children, adults and seniors. All of this produces happy, healthy, and well rounded puppies for you and your family.
