Cal is still a baby, at 5.5 months. He is an absolute rockstar but he still needs a reminder sometimes. I thought it was important to highlight the less than perfect behavior and how we use it as a training opportunity.

Obviously you don't want to have to continue to say your dog's name or make noises, but with consistency and practice, you won't have to.

Every employee goes through training, both from our owners and current employees, as well as Dog Handlers Academy, which I can not say enough good things about. (This is not a promotional ad)

Our employees learn to handle dogs on leash, when they are being reactive, in play groups, when in a kennel environment, and more. They learn how to safely breakup fights as well as avoid them all together.

JAX IS SAFE!! FOUND JUST A COUPLE OF BLOCKS FROM OUR BUILDING!!

Answers to common questions we've had:
*Jax has stayed here before and never jumped over any walls, doors, or gates. We have never known him to be a flight risk.
*Yes, there were people in the building when our cameras caught him leaving his suite, however our building is 6000 sq ft with two floors and they were not in that part of the building at that time.
*Yes, we have reached out to the owners and their emergency contacts. We are being fully transparent as Jax being found is our number 1 priority.
*Why did the post on our own page take so long? We were focusing on the more affluent pages that have a much larger following than our own with the specific purpose of lost and/or found pets as they would likely have more success.

**~The Difference between boarding and having Overnights with Leash the Muttro Pups! ~**

We offer both overnights in your home and boarding at our facility. We work with both anxious and reactive dogs. Overnights also allow us to take care of the other pets you have in the home! We had taken care of dogs, cats, rodents, snakes, reptiles and fish.
Let us know which option is right for you, and we will get you on the schedule!

*Board and train does not include potty training. This is a skill that must be worked on at home.
*This is just a starter program. It takes 21 days to build a habit, so success requires work once your pup comes home.
*The first couple of days of any board and train program require time for the pup to settle in and adjust.

We form special bonds with most of our dogs. Some of them more than others. And sometimes we end up in really close relationships with their owners. And one such owner came in today to deliver the news that they lost their handsome man. Deacon has been coming to daycare for a while now. He was a nervous boy who doesn't do well in new environments. He got comfortable with us. It was such a Joy when he arrived to daycare and did a happy dance in the lobby. From The Dog Who basically had to be dragged in his first day. He went from nervously Being a Wallflower to being a best friend to some of our dogs. We are so thankful we got to share a portion of his life. And so thankful we got to know and love him and his owners. Rest well, handsome 💔

We have been hosting some special dogs here for a local area rescue and many of these dogs are very very ready to leave the building. We also have a litter of seven puppies who will be ready to go in the near future. The rescue desperately needs Fosters or adoptive homes. As we add the pictures, each of the dogs will have its information for what their specific needs may or may not be. All of the dogs will be fully vetted and there are adoption fees. You can contact Lucky Paws Rescue for specific information about their fostering or adoption requirements. As we are already pretty invested in these dogs on a personal level, we are offering follow-up care for any of our clients who offer to adopt or Foster. Grooming is free for the first 6 months, daycare and boarding will be deeply discounted, and emergency boarding is free of charge for these dogs.

Or (for short hair dogs) let the office manager know at drop off that you will need a bath and nails this week, and we will work em into our schedule!!
