Hooooorayyy!!!! 99 Problems But Groom'n Ain't 1 has hired another Breed/Pet Groomer!!!! It wasn't easy as there were so many applicants. A few were really standouts and after interviewing over 20 candidates in person, we scheduled technical grooms with 2 of the candidates. We decided to offer employment to one of them and she happily accepted the offer!!! I will introduce her to you guys in the near future. I think she will be a great addition to the 99 Problems Family!!!

More great news!!!! We will have 2 Breed/Pet Groomers working weekends starting the beginning of next month and will be open 7 days a week!!! Monday - Friday will still be 8am - 7pm & we will now be open 8am - 6pm Saturday & Sunday!!!

Job Title: Experienced Pet Groomer (Dogs and Cats)

Here at 99 Problems But Groom'n Ain't 1 we specialize in providing personalized, high-quality grooming services for dogs and cats in Tacoma, Washington. We pride ourselves on our attention to detail, exceptional customer service, and commitment to using only the best hypoallergenic and paraben-free products for our furry clients.

Position Summary:
99 Problems but groom'n ain't one is seeking a full-time experienced Pet Groomer to join our team of dedicated pet care professionals in Tacoma, Washington. As a Pet Groomer, you will be responsible for providing top-notch grooming services to our furry clients, ensuring their comfort and well-being throughout the grooming process. As well as adhering to policies and procedures, the ideal candidate will possess strong grooming skills, excellent communication and interpersonal abilities, and a genuine love for both dogs and cats.

Key Responsibilities:
● Perform grooming services on a variety of dog and cat breeds, including bathing, brushing, clipping, and styling.
● Maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable grooming environment for both pets and groomers.
● Communicate with clients to understand their specific grooming preferences and any special requirements for their pets.
● Recognize and address any potential health concerns or issues, such as skin conditions or parasites, and communicate these concerns to clients and management.
● Provide exceptional customer service, building trust and rapport with both human and animal clients.
● Remain up-to-date on the latest grooming trends, techniques, and best practices through ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
● Collaborate with other groomers and team members to ensure a positive and efficient work environment.
● Answering telephones at times and scheduling grooming appointments for our clients dogs and cats.

Qualifications and Skills:
- A minimum of 2 years of professional dog and cat grooming experience.
- Strong knowledge of various dog and cat breeds and their grooming requirements.
- Ability to safely and effectively handle dogs and cats of all sizes, temperaments, and behavioral issues.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A self-starter with a strong work ethic, able to thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Flexibility to work evenings and weekends.

We Won 1st Place!!!! The very "Best Pet Grooming" in Pierce County!!! Voted by YOU!!! Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!!! 3 years ago Jonna and I took a big leap of faith and opened up our very own grooming salon. There has been alot of growing pains as we dial this thing in. Mentors, friends who helped build our space, & business learning curves... it's been a journey. A journey I am so greatful to be on with Jonna. We are an exceptional team together!! We grew so fast and got so much word of mouth traffic that we had to close our books to new customers. After months of running at full capacity, we did our homework and learned how to restructure our business model to hire another groomer. Just at that very time we started looking, Ciara reached out to us. We interviewed her and a client volunteered their Mini Schnauzer for her to perform a technical groom for us start to finish. She knocked it out the park. We offered to hire her and started writing policies and procedures in a handbook, ordering equipment, and learning about payroll, labor laws, and more in's and out's of being business owners. When you wear all of the hats of a business there is a lot of behind the scenes work to be done. You might have seen me on an ebike that shoots bubbles out the back down at the waterfront handing out business cards to pet parents. That was 6 months ago we hired Ciara. She has grown a lot in that time. Jonna and I have grown so much in these 3 years and we can't wait to see what the future holds!!! All of a sudden, we get an email telling us we have been nominated for Best of Pierce County "Best Pet Grooming"!! We still don't know who nominated us, but thank you from the very bottoms of our hearts!!! We didnt really think we had a great chance of winning, being a smaller shop and only open 3 years. But Jonna's care, professionalism, & 24 years experience, along with my business hustle, coupled with Ciara joining the team and hard work... We were contacted by the BOPC magazine to tell us we had WON FIRST PLACE!!! Thank you for voting for us!!! We love you all!!! & Shout out to all the other salons in the running!!!

So Ciara is finishing up her 6th month with us here at 99 Problems But Groom'n Ain't 1. I told her when we hired her, if she worked out and things went well, I would order her her own business cards. Here we are... Her clientele is growing and growing and we've received nothing but praise and kind words regarding her grooms!! She has been an excellent addition to the 99 Problems Family and we look forward to watching her grow into the seasoned veteran she is sure to become!! Although she knows alot and is finishing her 2nd year as a professional dog groomer, she is willing and open to learning. Dogs & cats come in all shapes, sizes, & temperaments.. with that being said, Ciara has taken on some grooms that other people would have turned down and not been willing to go the extra mile. Ciara is willing and does go the extra mile. We would trust her with our own dogs any day of the week!!! Congratulations on a great six months!!

Our sons have been hard at work this summer. We call this new water feature they built "Good Nuff Creek". It runs the full length of our yard and has 4 waterfalls. Super duper proud of our boys!!! Can you spot the Gnomes?? I hope those Gnomes don't catch all of our Koi... Hahaha just kidding, the Gnomes are only statues.😉😉😉 Remember, YOU might have 99 Problems But Groom'n Ain't 1!!!

A friend of ours just texted us this picture... He was golfing at Allenmore and happened upon our bench!!! What do you think?? I think it looks pretty sharp!!! We've had this bench for 3 years now and it has paid for itself time and time again!! Gotta get the word out... YOU might have 99 Problems But Groom'n Ain't 1!!!

We are going to call this one. Congratulations!!! The closet answer without going over is Samantha Mineo with her guess of 28lbs!!! Shadow is a Maine C**n and weighs in at 28.8lbs!! When cats get to be a certain size they can have trouble grooming themselves. This can result in some matting of the fur. Shadow's Mom sought us for help. The matting was enough to where we had to shave the mats out. Ciara's remedy to this, was giving him a Lion cut and I think she knocked it out of the park!!! The very best part about my job, has to be when a 3 month old puppy needs some love, and a quick potty break. I get to take him out for the break and snuggle him to so he feels the love.. even if he tries to eat my neck and nose.. Murphy Boy is our instant friend!! We all love you!!!
