Bailey was with us for about two weeks and her favorite place was in the puppy play house 😍she’s just soooo cute.

With the summer weather heating up ☀️ we got the dog run prepped for the hot days ahead. The dogs got new trees and a cool water mister. They have plenty of shade and lots of frozen enrichment toys in the freezer!!!

Lucca, a mini Bernedoodle, was our guest for four days. He had a blast playing and running with our dog Gator and the chickens. We worked on obedience lessons as part of our boarding program since he is in our private lesson program.

Upgrading our backyard came with an exciting surprise for our feathered friends! We crafted a more spacious coop and chicken run for our lovely hens, Henninger, Maggie, and Mic. These charming ladies take the canine chaos around them in stride and enjoy the frequent visits from our furry clients. Our chickens have been a fantastic addition to our home, offering endless entertainment and mental stimulation for the dogs. Often, we catch them simply enjoying the show, lying in the yard, and watching the chickens go about their day!

Our backyard renovation this spring aimed to create a more spacious and improved environment for our clients. We built new fences to expand our yard on one side and converted the other into a secure doggy hangout area, ensuring easy and safe pickups and drop-offs for our clients.

We love having our clients here and can’t wait for your dog to have fun in our new space.

Today one of our boarding dogs got to take our daughter to school. He also got to stop at ours/his favorite place Auntie Irene's to get treats ❤️

I am super proud to say that Gator and I have made it into Masters!!!

These past few months we have changed up his training and I had to learn how to be calm and chill so my dog could be crazy🤪 It was not as easy as I thought it would be.
Gator’s last trial he took home -
His Senior Title 🏅
A first, second and third place
A high in class🏅
His second place was in his Masters run🥈

Gator’s second trial in Barn Hunt and we came home with a Q in Senior, a first place, his Open Title and his Crazy 8 Title!!!
It was also his first birthday❤️ it was a great Birthday weekend for him

Three years ago I posted about losing Trip. It has been a long journey of finding who I was without him and where I fit in the world without having him right by my side.

Along that journey it lead us to finding our new family member so I would Love to indroduce you all to Hemel’s Spring Fever See You Later “Gator”

Just shy of a year Gator has been a great addition to our family. We have entered the world of dog sports again and he is AMAZING!! We are having so much fun.

His first trail he took home his first title, a couple 1st places, a high in class and much more.

It really doesn’t matter if your dog is friendly or not.

What matters is that you don’t take the choice away from another owner (and their dog) as to who they interact with.

There can be so many reasons why a dog and their owner need space from you and your dog.

Please allow them that choice 💙

Help us welcome Abby to the PPK9 family❤️ She is our new daycare and soon to be Board and Train. In this video we talk about the “Climb” and how to mold behaviors in your young puppy. 🤦‍♀️So sorry about this video looking a little slanted, obviously my tripod wasn’t exactly level🤦‍♀️

It’s a hot day out ☀️ so I’m watering my dogs lol 💦 Trip waits for his turn again while Jeremiah is in a down/stay getting cooled down. His big reward for staying in his down and tolerating getting hosed down is to run crazy and play with Trip. Our dogs might not always “love” what we do to them, that doesn’t mean we shouldn’t show them lots of different situations. It builds big confidence and produces a well rounded socialized dog.

Alright everyone it’s that time of year again when it starts to get hot out☀️ I want you all to know how hot the cement gets when it’s a nice sunny day out. Please watch this and help educate yourself on the dangers of walking your dog on the hot cement. I will also be posting some pictures of what can happen to your dogs feet when they are forced to walk on that hot cement Feel free to contact me with any questions or if you need ideas for beating the heat this summer with your dog. ☀️🐶

Took BAXTER out for a pack walk with Jeremiah, we were practicing BAXTER’S sits when we halt. He forgot the second time I stopped so I gave him the command sit, he ignored it so he got a correction and a recommend sit. He did perfect!!! I’m so proud of his progress in just the past week.

Today I went live on my IG page to show you BAXTER’S before video, you can go on over and check it out, it will be up all day. This was his Day 1 after video! He was with my from 8-4 and made great progress!!

So late getting my video together from yesterday but here is our day 2. Trip my 10 year old Aussie is out of the challenge, he overworked his little body so he’s taking a little R&R at my parents with the older dogs, he’s not to thrilled. Day 2 was interesting, all my dogs seemed less interested in day 2 than day 1. I did a lot more work trying to get them to bring it back after letting them win. Rex is so soft that I take things very very very slow with him lol he’s a total mess and runs into everything lol including the table with the phone recording us. Jax the little border collie LOVES. The bite rag so we are going to try back tying him today. That’s all I know, we will try more today with Day 3.

We are participating in a tug challenge this week. This is day one, just getting engagement from the dogs and finding a toy they want to tug with. You can see Jeremiah and Trip are way more into this game than Rex and Ozzie lol We will be posting our videos everyday to show the new things we are learning and our progress. If you have a dog that isn’t interested in toys or you would like them to be, let me know and I’ll help you get invited to the Challenge. It’s all about having fun!!!!! 😜 p.s although this game is exhausting LOL I’m really not that weak and tired, I wanted my dogs to build confidence by thinking they were way stronger than they really are. Trip is 10 years old and is stronger than Jeremiah who is 4 and who has a lot more muscle than Trip ever could. It’s all about that old man strength. 🐶🐺❤️🐾 I just love my dogs !!!!!!

Check out this cutie, HANK!! ❤️ He came to us for our Two Week Day Training Program, HANK was reactive on leash to other dogs. He also came to us for his basic manners, this is a video of his second week. He’s doing amazing 🐶❤️
