It’s hard when an idea in your head just doesn’t translate to the page.

I’ve been working for a while now on a book about the TONS of reasons we cry (and why they’re all ok) - but I never could get my art style to match what I wanted the tone of the book to be.

So, I reached out to the illustrator who drew my Spooky All Year book - Gastration. Such a truly talented artist.

So, for the second-ish time, here’s a sneak peek at a new book project (with an example of how different our styles are)!

Author Alex Stephenson joined News On 6 to talk about the books he has written to help kids with different issues from trouble sleeping to self-esteem. He says he wanted to use his skills as a counselor and illustrator to help children understand their mental health.
