DG ‘Ebe’ is a coming 4 year old Mustang mare, adopted through the USFS, looking for her new forever home. She is out of the Devils Garden HMA.
She is currently in with me getting a refresher on her basics while we hunt for her perfect match. She competed in the 2023 Four Corners Mustang Challenge in New Mexico, where she was adopted by her current owner. Unfortunately, they are just not a good match.
Ebe is sweet and friendly, she loves attention and treats. However she is still a bit guarded. She has some anxiety about being caught, which we are working hard to resolve. She is a very sensitive young mare and would do best with an experienced handler or somebody willing to put a LOT of time into building a relationship and helping her work through things.
Ebe can be touched all over, has gone through and over obstacles with her original trainer, she stands tied and gives all four feet without a fuss. She needs consistency and patience when catching her, but once caught she is a doll. She’s a little ‘sticky’ with leading, and tends to want to drag behind a bit, but we are working through these issues. Her left side is definitely her ‘strong’ side, and she requires patience with handling on her right side. She has worn a ba****ck pad and we are working toward her first saddling. She has not been lunged on a line in the last year, as her owner had a back injury and did not want to risk any sharp pulls. I will be refreshing that as well. She does round pen beautifully, and has very nice, consistent gaits.
I have not measured her, but I estimate she’s about 14.2hh. I am willing to measure her by request for an exact height.
2 🥕🥕🥕 takes her. Carrots are somewhat flexible but will increase with time and training put into her.
She is located in Carrizozo, NM.
