It's always something. We're steadily getting repairs done from the May tornadoes. It might go more quickly if Wreck-it would quit halting our repairs with more repairs. 😑🤣 There's always something else to do on a farm but we wouldn't have it any other way. 💕 We hope everyone had a blessed weekend. Why we do what we do! Zeus is celebrating his 11th birthday with his awesome family and a little "Dog Beer" from Country Feed Store. No, it's not real beer😂. It's a dog safe and no sodium all natural broth for those picky eaters or a treat! He doesn't look it, but he's about 40# heavier/bigger than Dobby! Very few people understand how happy this little "fwog" has made me for a couple weeks now. Of all the swamp waterways surrounding the store...he chose us! Does he count as livestock? #skeetereater #thesimplethings #pleasedonteatthefrogpiggies

C'mon guys! You're almost 13 weeks. Life is not that bad! And Beulah let's every dang baby nurse from her. She needs to get back in condition and all of you know how to eat big sheep food and hay and are fatties.

The boys are so super happy and boingy!😂 I just left them inside to sit on the porch and they sound like a herd of elephant! There is so much more peace if you aren't a monetary valued being.

A short video of Thor and Loki's progress. We've set up an outside play area so they are exposed to a more "livestock" environment. Sheep are very different than goats because of their herd/flock instinct. So despite the fact they can be easily hand raised, it is very important that they learn to "sheep" (especially with rams so they respect their flock and their shepherd). Around day 3 or 4, babies will start mouthing hay and vegetation and also get curious about a water bowl. The sooner they start ingesting solid food, the quicker their rumen will start working (and oak leaves are packed with good nutrition). They will still be on a bottle for the next 8 weeks or so but look at them go! We are learning to do sheep stuff like experts!! If I could only get them to give me a heads up if they're going to poop so I could clean it up before they lay in it....that would be just great! 🤣
