Found dog. No microchip. Was with another dog that was unable to be caught. Found in Tamaqua near the Bungalow. Please contact our office with any information on the owner.

Power is out! That storm knocked out our power! We are operating in a limited capacity at this time. Don't worry any hospitalized critters are being well cared for. However we have no phones or computer access.

Rush Vet Center would like to welcome Dr Sheri Newel! Dr Newel will be coming to our practice weekly to provide ultrasound services for our clients and others in the surrounding area. Please read her announcement from her page:

Rush Vet Center is now providing ultrasounds at the Tamaqua office. Lori Milot, DVM, is the Veterinarian/Owner of Rush Veterinary Center. Her mission, like mine, is to see that clients and patients have access to affordable care. We feel her location is centrally located to your practice.

We have decided on the following protocol regarding your patients’ time at Rush Veterinary Center.

• The referring Veterinarian is the patient’s primary care provider. The owner will not be permitted to become a patient of Rush Veterinary Center. The staff at Rush will assign a color code to your client’s account indicating they are Simplisound’s patient’s.
• The owner or referring Veterinarian will call Rush to schedule the appointment.
• The patient will have an ultrasound or echocardiogram. Dr. Newell does not review the reports with owner’s, unless expressly requested by the authorizing Veterinarian.
• Echocardiogram results will be sent to cardiology and the report will be returned in 24 hours Monday-Thursday. Friday’s report will be returned on Monday.
• All other scans (ultrasound, focused scans and pregnancy). We also offer FNA, Cytocentesis and Thoraco/Abd Centesis. These reports will be written and sent via email within 24 hours.
• Reports that need urgent action will be marked URGENT or a phone call will be made to the primary Veterinarian.
• Emergency/rescue care would be provided on an as needed basis to patients that require such intervention at their ultrasound appointment.

At time of discharge, Owner’s will pay the invoice in full at the front desk at Rush. Acceptable forms of payment are Visa/Mastercard/Discover or cash, no checks will be accepted.
