Well, I may have found wonderful homes for 7 kittens and been down to just two lovely and freshly spayed retired mama cats to place...

But today... a kitten six pack delivered literally to my front door. 2 black, 1 ginger tabby, 1 brown and cream colorpoint, 1 tuxie with white socks, and one white with just a touch of color that tells me flame point may develop. I need to find names, determine genders. So far, I have cleaned them, fed them, watered them, cleaned them again, set them up in a safe and comfy crate and tried to teach them where to potty.

So far, it's been a 15 kitten and mom summer.

Someone to watch over me. My sweet Kit is the protector, teacher, cleaner, playmate, and slightly grumpy big brother for so many kittens, like Eugenia. He makes even the most feral babies feel safe and helps them learn to be happy AbbeyCats.

Departures: We are pleased to announce that Moonlight Sonata has been adopted! She now has a porch to call her own and a big brother orange kitty named Jake.

Best of luck to you, Sonata! No more climbing up into car blocks for you.

Updates: Moonlight Sonata is a healthy, loving and beautiful lady who is desperately in need of humans to drape herself upon. She's super in to laying on people, making biscuits and anything catnip. (The knives are felt toys filled with catnip)

Moonlight Sonata has been deemed a healthy lady with no additional need for surgery. She will need a shot series of follow up FVRCP, a new Rabies vaccine, and a microchip plus some parasite load exams and a combo FIV/FeLV test. She also needs a bunch of groceries and has been deemed to have an allergy to fleas. Without them, she is a much more comfortable gal and needs snuggles or she may expire.

I'm taking Sonata to Harmony Vet Care of Tampa for an exam to confirm her 'uniqeness' at 3:40 today. The whole staff is excited (and fascinated) to meet her!

Moonlight Sonata.
This sweet dilute tortie is ear tipped and spayed... but we got a Pride surprise. Sonata also needs to be neutered! This very rare find is likely a result of a mosaic genetic mutation that allowed both male and female bits to happen. Although probably sterile, I'd like to have a vet verify the cryptorchid (undescended) testicles that I found in Sonata's abdomen because this kitty was so thin when found in a Publix parking lot last week. In one week we have had 2 lbs of weight gain, an extermination of Sonata's parasitic biome, a mildly stressful bath, and a massive improvement in skin, fur and energy. Moonlight Sonata is an absolute love who just wants to be petted all the time and nap in her carrier between snuggles.

Now seeking a forever home for this lovely, sweet and unique kitty who is so much more than I expected! 🏳️‍🌈
