"My co-founder and I were frustrated with how unnecessarily complex it is to feed dogs. Typically, you need to walk to your bag of kibble or container, scoop out the right serving of kibble, walk over to your dog's food bowl, and bend all the way down to feed your dog kibble--potentially spilling some in the process. In addition, exposed kibble bags and dog bowls can be an eyesore in your home. We sought to make it more convenient to feed your dogs and enhance your home decor."

Q:How does the Kibble Dispenser safely store dog food?
A :Inside the Kibble Dispenser is a BPA-free, plastic storage bin that safely stores your kibble

Q: My dog is pretty smart. Won’t they just learn how to feed themselves?
A: To pull the lever you have to slightly lift it for it to travel, creating an auto-locking mechanism that will mitigate unintentional servings from your clever dogs.

Q: Can I use the kibble dispenser for my cats?
A: While the Kibble Dispenser is designed for dry dog kibble, it should be able to dispense just about any dry kibble you can put in it!

Q :How do I clean the inside storage bin?
A: When the unit is empty, the inside of the unit can be cleaned by removing the lid and reaching into the unit. Apply a pet safe cleaning solution to a paper towel or rag and wipe the walls of the units to clean. Allow to air dry before refilling with food.

Q: What serving sizes does this support? Will you offer smaller or larger serving size bowls?
A: Houndsy currently offers bowls in the following sizes: ½ cup, ¾ cup, 1 cup, 1 ½ cups, 2 cups, 2 ½ cups, 3 cups, and 4 cups.

Q: What kind of dog food does this support?
A: The Kibble Dispenser has been tested with a wide variety of dry dog foods. The unit is rated to store and dispense most major dry dog food brands.

A:Yes, we have filed for both design and utility patent protection. We are currently patent-pending.

Cleaning your Kibble Dispenser

Your Houndsy kibble dispenser is designed with a BPA-free plastic container to ensure easy cleaning. We recommend cleaning the bin, shelf and bowl periodically to keep your dog's kibble fresh!

1. Remove all kibble from dispenser

2. Open lid, keeping bowl in the unit in the 'closed' position

3. Using a clean cloth and pet-safe cleaning solution, wipe down the inside of the bin.

4. Crank lever to move shelf into open position and wipe shelf clean

5. Throw your bowl in the dishwasher or wash by hand. Allow to air dry before refilling with food.

Setting up your Houndsy Kibble Dispenser

Setting up your new kibble dispenser is easy! Simply follow the steps below:

Step 1. Remove and open the white box underneath the Quick Start Guide to find the bowl(s), legs, stickers, and wall anchor packed for your order.

Step 2. Open the inner kibble dispenser box. Remove the styrofoam packaging on top of the kibble dispenser.

Step 3. After opening the inner kibble dispenser box, unlock the lid by turning both k***s counter- clockwise. Put the lid aside.

Step 4. Grab an edge of the lid opening and lift the kibble dispenser straight up and out. You can also lay the box on its side and slide it out. Be careful, as the base weighs ~25 lbs.

Step 5. Place the kibble dispenser on a flat, clean surface and screw the (4) angled legs into the threaded inserts. Place the dispenser upright.

Step 6. Use the provided wall anchor to secure the kibble dispenser to the wall.

Step 7. Place the provided bowl into the drawer opening. Warning: never retract the drawer without a bowl in it or kibble will fall out.

Step 8. Pour kibble into the storage bin, close the lid, and turn the k***s clockwise to lock the lid in place.

Step 9. The kibble dispenser has an auto-locking mechanism to mitigate unintentional servings. To operate it you have to lift the k**b up before moving it.

Step 10. After lifting the job, push or pull the k**b to open or close the drawer. Keep the drawer open for now.

Step 11. Retract the drawer into the storage bin, wait for the kibble to fall, and then release the drawer - now full of kibble! Warning: never retract a full bowl of kibble back into the storage bin.
