⭐Benefits of R+ Dog Training (Positive Reinforcement)
🐶 These are experiences you were hoping for when you brought home your dog.
🧒🐕 Maybe it was a family dog you had growing up that was sweet as pie.
🎥 Or maybe it was a recent movie that sparked your interest in adopting a four-legged friend.
💁 You were under the impression that it would be easy, fun, and joyful.
BUT
🥴 What you’ve been going through has been anything BUT that!
🥺 Expectations couldn’t be further from reality now. And you’re not sure what to do.
🙋 Whether your dog loses his mind when friends and family come over or you can’t leave your home without your dog having a complete breakdown, this is exactly when you can bring me into the fold.
🧑🏫 Dog training is more than puppy classes and obedience training. “Training” is maybe a bit misleading to describe the important work I do with clients.
😊 I modify their dog’s emotions to deliver better behavior. Behavior that is appropriate for the situation rather than something we, as humans, deem unacceptable.
🩷 Sure, your dog may learn how to sit and stay as a part of that process. But as we teach manners, your dog is learning to trust and perhaps most importantly… Have positive experiences that improve their feelings towards situations.
🥰 My training approach is special. It’s why I prefer to train this way. How incredible that I can teach a dog manners while helping them build confidence and feel GOOD about themselves.
🩷 It's such a beautiful experience. Curious to learn more? Message me “good dog” and I can share more about how this works with you.📲

Dog parents....Why work with a professional?
🥴 The hardest part of learning a new skill is simply not knowing what you don’t know.
💻 Turning to YouTube or Google for your dog training questions could seem like a simple solution, but training an animal is a skill best learned with a professional.
🧑🏫 Dogs are complex beings that have physiological, psychological, and medical needs that should be identified and supported with the help of a professional.
📚 Training a dog is not like learning how to put IKEA furniture together. A professional dog trainer like myself brings an entire library of knowledge to understand the challenges your dog and family are experiencing.
🩺 Sometimes potty accidents and even aggression are symptoms of an undiagnosed medical issue.
😨 Sometimes excessive barking is deep-rooted fear - not stubbornness - that needs to be addressed to be solved instead of suppressed.
👁️ These are just a couple of examples that a professional eye can help you uncover before simple obedience can be implemented.
🤓 My wealth of knowledge allows training to improve your situation quickly so you can experience relief, find understanding, and eliminate frustrations.
👪 As a professional, I also support you in incorporating your family into the training journey which will benefit your dog’s behavior - and your sanity!

Metrics we track outside of a dog’s behavior
💯 Dog training progress isn’t just about the dogs.
👓 Did you know that I look for things outside of the dog to measure progress, too?
📊 I always expect the dog’s behavior to improve, but there are other metrics I can look at to track the progress of my clients.
⬇️ Here are other (human) pieces I look at in my clients’ journeys:
* Communication between family members
* All family members being on the same page
* All family members working with the dog consistently
* Your confidence in handling unexpected situations with your dog
* How well training recommendations are integrated into your routines
* Reductions in stress and fretting about your dog’s behavior
* How will the dog’s environment is set up for success
📈 Let’s be honest - you are the one bringing me in to help, so it only makes sense to track progress you are personally experiencing, too!
📏 Your dog’s behavior is a given. But, in my opinion, the way training influences your lives together is a better measure of progress.
✔️ You ultimately bring me in because you want..
* Less stress
* More fun
* More ease
* Less conflict
🩷 So we measure that, too.

What rules matter for your dog?
💁 The rules I have for my dogs might not be the same rules you need for your dog.
This is an important aspect to consider as you are working with me.
📺 What you may have seen on TV or in other people’s homes may not make sense for you, your dog, and your family.
When we work together, we prioritize training goals that make sense for your unique situation.
🚫 It isn’t a cookie cutter approach because what works for one family doesn’t necessarily work for yours.
🧰 I take all the strategies and tools in my toolkit and adapt it to your family’s needs.
Tell me in the comments one traditional “rule” for dogs that DOESN’T make sense for yours.
🔂 I’ll go first: I don’t require my dogs to take neighborhood walks in a perfect heel.
Why? Because walks should be as much for them as they are for me. My dogs get the opportunity to sniff and explore on our walks. This helps stimulate their minds and enriches their lives. They come back home fully decompressed and take a nice long quiet nap.
(Pro Tip to increase success: Before heading out on your walk - Plan what that walk will look like before stepping out of the door. Will this be a walk as described above or a working walk to improve leash skills? Make sure to plan accordingly)

Having a training plan for your dog during your pregnancy will give you the confidence and the help you need to feel empowered in knowing what to do once your baby comes home.
You can learn how to teach your dog to automatically lie down when your baby is in your arms.
I help expecting parents and new parents learn how to teach their dog what calm behaviors are expected around the new baby.
I offer custom formulated home training plans for your specific needs.
I use only positive reinforcement training methods to get your dog to understand what you expect so they can develop self-control and you don't have to worry about constantly needing to control them.

🤗Stacy and her family are past clients of Cultured Canines of Tampa Dog Training. This family has worked so hard on their training with Buddy. I am so proud of them all. Their loved and dedication is unmatched.
🐾🏠 Buddy showed up on their doorstep when he was approx 6 months old. So, of course being the amazing people that they are, "Buddy" had a new home.
They contacted me for 1-2-1 training and immediately I could see how great this was going to be. We started with basic puppy stuff and quickly moved into more advanced and much needed training.
Buddy had a "thing" for their cats. 🐈 Lol. It was a big issue and with much work, love, patience and fun too, they made it work!
Look at the amazing adventures they have as a family!!
Great job guys!! I'm so proud of you all and YOU are the reason Buddy is so fantastic! 🥰

Why Force Free Dog Training? Also known as Positive Reinforcement Training.....
I get asked all the time, “What is Positive Reinforcement Dog Training?” I LOVE this question!
Positive Reinforcement Dog Training, or other wise known as Force Free Dog Training, is a scientifically proven method that utilizes treats, praise, sometimes even toys as a reward for recognizing correct behavior, not focusing on what was done incorrectly all while building your bond through trust and communication.
Positive Reinforcement Training enables your dog to understand your expectations while working their brains and bodies which results in more reliable behavior. I believe in allowing your dog to think for themselves, give them time to understand what you want and reward them for doing so.
I work with many rescue dogs that have behavioral issues due to abuse and even isolation. According to the ASPCA’s National Rehoming Survey, pet problems are the most common reason that owners rehome their pet, accounting for 47% of rehomed dogs and 42% of rehomed cats. Pet problems were defined as problematic behaviors, aggressive behaviors, grew larger than expected, or health problems owner couldn’t handle.
Some problematic behaviors or what some consider nuisance behaviors can range from barking, jumping, chewing, biting, not being house trained, high energy levels and what some deem aggressive behavior.
Imagine growing up as a child and not having any positive role models. Never being rewarded for good behavior and always being told you do everything wrong. Dogs are much like humans. They need guidance, compassion, understanding and teaching to develop into a good dog. I am always telling my clients: “A well trained dog does’t happen all by itself.” They must learn what is considered good behavior and that all starts in the liter. I also tell my clients that if you want and expect your dog to be a positive part of your family, socialization is the first place to start. “A well socialized dog just doesn’t happen. It is deliberate and MUST be well planned and that plan MUST be put into practice in your life everyday.”
Over the years of using Positive Reinforcement methods I have seen the bond between dog and owner grow. I have seen communication and trust build a dog up and make them successful. One of my favorite phrases I use almost daily in training is: “Set your dog up for success and not failure.” I works. It really works.
Oh, and by the way...... There is no such thing as: You can’t teach and old dog new tricks.
