Cool little female high white ERO

In my recent curiosity in amphibians, I have began to work with a few different species. But as time goes on, this species is quickly becoming my favorite. Giant Asian River Toads, Phrynoidis asper. They are a species of true toad that are a large species. Females can max out at 9 inches. The are insectivorous and prefer smaller prey items so they require a lot of crickets, worms, and roaches. Field reports state that this species is never found more than a few meters from a river bank so fresh water is a must.

My experience so far with this species has been a positive one. I believe I have a pair. The male will call periodically and it has more of a faint honking sound as opposed to the usual toad sound. These guys have been reported to have arboreal tendencies in the wild and I have also seen that behavior as well. They seem to be comfortable on a branch or rock as they are in the water.

If anyone has experience with this species or juxtasper, let me know what your experiences are.

Female Tangerine Honduran milksnake produced by . Definitely a species that is different from most everything else I keep. The colors and overall strength of this species relative to their size is impressive and these guys are a ton of fun to keep.
